This brought tears to my eyes bro. As a Barbadian born with African Ancestry I feel the spiritual and physical connection to Mama Africa more and more everyday. Thank you Wode Maya for continuing to wake up those of us in the diaspora and for reigniting that flame that burns within us. I long to suckle at the breast of Mama Africa and if I cannot make it there I will do my best to send my daughter there even if it takes my last cent to do so.

Thank you for showing us this beautiful country! I also agree with you about Cecil Rhodes. He is not someone to be praised. I am African American who learned about Cecil Rhodes and his exploration of Zimbabwe and its natural resources from my College professor who was from Ghana teaching African history and American history here in the USA. Excellent teacher!

Sure he doesn't belong there. rhodes set out with machines guns to unleash terror on the local people. He killed too many people and looted their wealth. Juxtapose it with what the English have done to the Aboriginals of Australia and see what his ulterior motive was. He surely shouldn't be celebrated in Africa.

Maya was very brave to walk bare footed as well to go up there. The last time i walked up the top mountain is when i was in grd 4. We use to fetch grass to build the roof top of the house. It was in Gwanda right after Matobo. The place rounded with mountains all over. That was very brave of you Maya. Well done sir

exactly we don't even have a portrait of our heros in any part of western world but we got moments of colonizers Dr Livingston n that mass murderer of Africans Cecil Rhodes among others. take his bones back that's like mocking out ancestors. that grave is like he owns Zimbabwe even in his death ☠️he ain't iconic in any way
