Another day, another disaster. The owner of this property really needed some help getting her overgrown garden back into shape so that she could manage it later on. The humidity on this job was terrible, and I was struggling there for a while, but I got it done in the end!

Q: Where are you located?
A: We are from Hobart, Tasmania, Australia 🦘🦘🦘.
Q: Do you worry about snakes?
A: I have never even seen a snake in over 4 years on the job.
Q: Which equipment do you use?
A: We use mostly STIHL power equipment (battery and petrol) and commercial Honda self-propelled mowers.
Q: How much do the jobs cost?
A: Sorry, I prefer not to talk about costs!
Q: What happened to Nick?
A: Nick was offered a full-time position at his other job as a Political admin!
Q: What happened to Brent?
A: Brent quit at the start of August 2022.
Q: Why don't you use tarps instead of cans?
A: Tarps are too difficult to move through small spaces and lift into the trailer. The same for wheelbarrows, they are only good for unloading the trailer!
Q: Why are the hot water cylinders outside?
A: I'm not really sure to be honest, maybe something to do with space & maintenance, but either way, it really is poor heat efficiency!
Q: Why are you cutting so close to your employee!
A: I'm not cutting too close to my workers, they are standing too close to where I am working! All of my workers have been told numerous times about standing too close to the tools and about the hazards involved!
Q: Why do your workers do all the lifting and carrying?
A: Basically, they are employed to carry things and I pay them well, to do the job required.
Q: You work so well together, how do you do it?
A: That's the magic of editing. My workers are basically given instructions on what to do, I just edit it all out, so the videos look seamless!
Q: Why don't you have help?
A: I've had many problems with employees in the past, so I now work alone.
Q: Why don't you have a ride-on mower?
A: Well, there are a few reasons.
1. Currently, I don't do enough big jobs to justify spending 15k on a good ride on mower.
2. I don't have anywhere to store it.
3. A lot of the properties we do have fences and gates, so you can't actually get a ride-on in there.
4. I don't have the right trailer for a ride on, considering we always take the green waste away.
5. I will get one as soon as all of the above are solved.

That was a heck of a transformation !! And on top of that, you included the skyline and mountain. I remember 2 video's you did, one was when you cleaned out beside that shed and revealed the inlet, and the one where you did your parents place. Has anyone ever did a painting of the view of the waterway and the mountain? It would be great if you were able to get a property closer to them. It adds to the peacefulness of watching your video's. Kind of like an added serenity. Again, great job George.

Here are the best videos on the topic of lawns, due to the fact that he does not mulch all the dirt, but honestly takes it with him. The only thing that is hidden from us is the number of snakes that were accidentally crushed, I think. I really don't like snakes, but it's a pity if they get under a trimmer or lawn mower. Maybe it's worth putting some kind of ultrasonic scarecrow or something similar a day before the start. To give them a chance to leave for a while. And later safely return to their native lands :)

It was great how you cleaned this little yard up. She has a great little arboretum there - so many shrubs and trees and I'm sure the good trim you gave them plus removing the weeds will rejuvenate them. It was fantastic that you trimmed back all that growth coming through from the neighbour's. She gained some space to walk! I was quite thrilled with this little place; it was almost like a secret garden. It seemed like a busy road out front and yet just inside her fence was this magic little oasis of a garden. She'll be able to sit on her verandah and enjoy looking at her garden now. You did such a good job and I feel for you working in high humidity. Where we are in NZ had massive rainfalls and flooding but the sun came out yesterday and the humidity was 92%! Ugh. Couldn't stay outside. So well done, you!

What a lovely little retreat! If your client can afford it, some gravel covering that side access would reduce maintenance, and maybe some mulching in the beds, too. One of your assets is that you actually are a gardener, not just a lawn guy, and you know how to preserve what’s worth preserving. The occasional bit of pruning would perhaps be nice for her, but weeding likely not so much…As always, wow, you live in such a beautiful place! 🇨🇦💕 Edit to add: you really should have given us a shot of the pallet of water you must have needed to survive this job!
