I was going FTF on a multi 0.3 miles down a trail… OR for you Australians 0.5 kilometers. Anyways a severe thunderstorm warning had been issued and I was caught in the middle of it. Lightning was striking everywhere and I ran back to the car and returned a few days later for FTF.

I live in Arizona; while most people don’t normally associate Arizona with rain, we can get heavy monsoon storms in the summer. Two years ago, I went hiking / geocaching at a local state park before meeting a date that evening. When I arrived to the park, it was bright sunny and hot (like you would expect an Arizona summer to be). However, I got about a mile up the trail when clouds suddenly formed. At that point, I decided to abandon my mission and turn around (especially as the road out of the park can flood over). Not too long after turning around, a massive sheet came down right on top of me, so I tried running as best as I could (considering the wet ground and soaked clothing). I was getting concerned about canceling my date due to literally being blocked in a flooded road. Fortunately I was able to make it out. It was also fortunate that this was just a microburst where I didn’t have to go to far to be somewhere that was completely dry. With that, I was actually able to dry out with enough time before my date

I was searching for a first-to-find one time in the mountains in Colorado via bicycle when a hailstorm came through. Thank goodness for the bike helmet! With the hail came thunder and lightning. I headed back down the mountain without a find that day.

I think you need to put a RAIN SUIT on your Christmas list. I have one and it's quite handy since I spend so much time outdoors. The suit just slips on right over your street clothes. But then again, getting drenched makes for a more adventurous video. Good job being persistent and knocking another CAA off the list. 🦀

Ick! One of the first things I invested on when I ... re-started my life... was a GOOD rainjacket. Best investment ever! So versatile, I use it as a wind breaker, a waterproof outer layer in the early or late winter season, I am soo happy I got it! I highly recommend getting one!

Went for a geocache in Menominee, Falls, Michigan and it was raining. There was thunder, but no lightning so we made the 1.5 mile hike there and back and found the geocache.

I had to find about 20 caches one day to qualify for a geocoin and at one point during the day it just started pouring, but I had to embrace the suck and find them. It was a nice coin, so it was worth it. I love how you just laugh at it, because what else can you do? I mean you were probably halfway there and was going to get wet even if you turned around and went back, so might as well keep going.

I usually check the weather report before caching but that being said I have found myself looking for a nano stuck to a fence in a electrical storm pouring rain just to get a FTF lol
