When I saw the 50 lb bag of popcorn kernels on your floor, it brought back a fond memory I had of my grandfather. He loved popcorn. Every evening after dinner, he would pop a HUGE bowl of popcorn and sit on the porch and listen to the ballgame on the radio and wave to the neighbors. I spent a summer when I was 10 staying with both sets of grandparents, alternating a week at one grandparents house before going and spending a week at my other grandparents house. My grandfather and I wouldn't talk much, just eat popcorn and listen to the ballgame. Oh those were the days... ☺️

Totally get the not drinking, but there is so much good cooking to be done with beer. Beer cheese for pretzels, beer bread, beer can chicken, can add to stews and so many other things. But yes, dump it if you won’t use it - I’m really surprised they put all that in an unlocked dumpster!

I suggest roll some of the minced meat into burgers, stack them with squares of greaseproof paper in-between each round and pack them into labelled zip locks bags to freeze. Then you can take out as many as you need without them sticking together.

Return the cans for cash; no guilt! Beer is a great slug killer in the garden; i use it for soap making. Replace it for the water. It ends up smelling divine! And, making bread, as someone else mentioned.

Hamburger meat you can cook it, then place in freezer bags…..quart size….makes for quick meals….spaghetti, taco’s, sloppy joe, beef stroganoff I cook up 15 to 20 lbs at a time just to have on hand for quick meals……. Great haul

Hi. I would make bread with the beer. Can add to stews etc. Use in garden. I would put an oxygen absorber in those Kernel cans once you put the corn in. Great haul. Beautiful furbabies.

Great haul!! Beer is good for all kinds of stuff!! Beer batter for foods, beer bread 🥪, beer pretzels 🥨 , you can use some in your shampoo and wash your hair, it helps with the ph in your hair or something, and makes your hair softer! In the summer time, if you are bothered by pesky slugs (ick!) In your garden or yard, put some beer in a little small bowl or container, set it out where the slugs gather and hang out, and they will drink it and,... be unalive.. if you don't want to do that, that's okay, it's just a trick of gardening I learned when I was young!! Oh, and if you bag up some of the popcorn 🍿 kernels and store them in the freezer more of them will pop and you'll have less waste! You did a great job!!! You can use beer in your garden, making yeast free bread and it's lovely to add to beef soups/stews or shepherds pie/pot pies. All the alcohol cooks off during boiling. Use it! It's delicious!

This was an awesome haul, especially the fruit and all that meat!! I agree with you about recycling the beer cans, as I am not a drinker either. My favorite of the items was that big bag of popcorn--I LOVE POPCORN, in any color, size or flavor!! My husband's mom used to make green and red popcorn balls for all her grandchildren every christmas season. Enjoy all your newly found items and take care!

Pls dont waste the beer, cook with it. Brats cooked in beer then thrown on a grill. Beer cheese soup, use some in your pot roasts and mixed with beef broth for soups and stews. Make homemade sloppy joes and use some beer in them when making the sauce. It adds such great flavor- Mrs. Yandell

Great haul! Beer is a great bargaining tool for free or cheap labor to the right person. I also love cheese but way too much. LOL I knew about beer for softer hair. I googled and so many other uses from soaking feet to yes using it in gardening situations. Research online the uses. Let us know what works. You could have full spa night rinse hair, soak feet, make a face mask. It may even help skin to wash with it. The big use is for catching Flys. A few inches in a cup and set in a out of way. T h ey make hanging traps but you could easily diy one.

Don’t dump the beer, use it on your lawn. Put a can of beer, some baby shampoo, and some ammonia in a hose end sprayer and spray it on your lawn. Helps break down thatch and provides nutrients to your grass.

Back in the day, when I was young, beer was recommended as a hair rinse. Also, save some, because there are a lot of recipes that call for just a bit of it, yes, bread, and some other recipes, I remember quite a few crock pot ones that called for some.

Suggestion for the GROUND BEEF - cook it up and freeze it in individual freezer bags so you can fix food quickly with already cooked meat and it will take up less space in the freezer.

Wow! I was going to say to keep the gorgeous red popcorn containers too! Really handy, even more amazing to put that much popcorn kernels in. U can pop ur own corn with real butter! Love that. I have a popcorn maker too. Fresh is so much nicer. U can pop in a brown bag in microwave as well. Fold bag at top and pull paper through, twist to seal it. Leave some air open to expand.

All u do is use a brown bag that fits ur microwave. Put 3 slices at top, like a fringe. Then slit under the fringe, loop the fringed piece through the hole/slit. Then twist it. It can’t untie. Let me know when u try it. 🌝👍. I should do a video demo of it. Start with a small brown bag.

I think someone gave it to him. I even tried it on my hair. I don't care for the smell of it while I was washing my hair. The smell leaves as soon as you rinse it.
