You Won't Believe What We Found in Afghanistan!

We embarked on one final adventure in Afghanistan, a 4 hour drive to the chaotic city of Jalalabad. Myself and ‪@baldandbankrupt‬ came to check out a unique market where they sell things which you won't believe! But then again this is Afghanistan, this is a normal sight. After this we fled back to Kabul and the 5 day journey through the most dangerous country in the world was over.

As a veteran of the Afghanistan war 2011-2014….there are areas north east into the “finger” of Afghanistan that are just beautiful. Politics gets into the wrong areas and of course once you get rid of that, they are people just like you and me. The country really needs to rebuild after so many decades of war. I just hope they can have freedoms and be better people with what they have. Personally I wish I could go there and buy a rifle or something and bring it back to the US…:collector pieces

Great to watch - it's one of the countries I'm never going to get to visit so your tour & insight made for facinating viewing. I spent 4 years as a civilian (Firefighter) in Jalalabad on the military base. Many of the items you are seeing in those shops were also sold on the base. Except for the rifles of course. They did sell the old black powder rifles though. My bet is a lot of those guys ran the shops on the base. I often wonder how my Afghan friends are doing now. They were all very friendly. The city of Jalalabad is much more religious than the Kabul area.
