@@1homeboy815 40 bucks will buy a decent cb. Another 20 bucks will buy a decent antenna. An hour or less to put them in each rig. Depending on the terrain they could probably get 2 to 10 mile range. A bit more money and they could possibly double that range. Say 200 per rig? Handheld radios usually have limited range unless they are expensive high quality radios. Those usually require a license to use.

Matt, you might be the most chilled out rescue person on KZbin but...... you certainly enjoyed gloating when Paul got stuck in his work truck! Perhaps if Paul was in the Toyota Taco or even Papa Dar's Jeep, he wouldn't have got stuck and he might have even got the boys truck out. Pleased that you found Rudy too! I enjoyed this one!

Now that I've been watching all the fabrication on the different vehicles and enjoying Fab Rats and some of your other friends channels, I just watched this the second time and it is one of the best videos ever.

Paul's Taco truck is pretty capable, so when I heard that it got stuck I thought something pretty crazy must be going on. Then, when I saw what truck it actually was it made much more sense, just about the worst set up for sand.

Dont know how many times i have to say it. Here in Australia we put these in our normal cars and almost every 4x4 has them. CB, UHF, or some call them RADIO. They are the best thing any and every vehicle can have if they go out of town and especially out of phone service. Seriously Matt, it will make your job (plus Rudy's lol) so less stressful and easier you will be kicking yourself for why has it taken so long to get one in the first place. Plus they come in handy for traffic updates on the road and many other applications. But cant wait to see the Corvair doin recovery. ✌

I had a truck in the same shape when I was young and broke myself. Had a old Ford that I had to crack the column used to have to push the pin to start and unlock the steering wheel.

Do you remember the old time standby that was used by EVERYONE, didn't need towers, only needed to be within range to work ! CB radio! Still works today.

I still use it......that was the first thing I put in my brand new 84 Yota 4wd pickup....was a CB radio. And then Lockers. I have a Midland mobile GMRS that is going to supplement it soon.

Don't work! Years ago I was towing my son home, with flashing lights on the roof and flags on the rope. Came to a roundabout, do they call them Circles in US? Anyway I had priority so off I went. A car then came on from another direction , straight bettween the two us, about 12 to 15 feet gap! I hit brakes Tom hit brakes. other car bounced back. Out get's driver, 'Oh I thought I had room to get bettween you'. REALLY? , by the way, is that Driving Instructors sign on the top of your car really yours?
