the perfect strategy is to bring your opponent to a position or sequence, where you have the greatest advantage, and not necessarily your best game... you might be a great guard passer, but your opponent's guard has never been passed. instead you try and go for his legs, which might even be the weakest part of your game, but if your opponent knows NOTHING about leg locks, you still have the greater advantage, even though leg locks is not your best skill set.

Its gonna be great when machine learning is applied to databases like yours and removes all individual creativity or problem solving from the sport, reduces it to a series of "solved" sequences, and the sport reduced to a batle of attributes like olympic greco etc. your helping yourself and the first generation or two, but it is bad for the sport in the long run. but just like social media, etc. you have every incentive to use it and no one will even ask whether it was a good thing to do in the long run until its already done and we're all suffering even more than before.
