This is well demonstrated in Romans 7:14-24, The Inner Conflict. As humans, we are made of flesh and it torments us when we are born again Christians. Despite knowing the requirements of being righteous, the mind is under the subject of the flesh and commits to sin. However, Paul states that we are redeemed through Christ and our sins are forgiven.
