One time probably 7-8+ years ago I was the last alive on my team in a hellcat, doing really well. I was charging at enemy arty. Reloaded a high explosive shell, and it hit on the move at 60kph. Arty survived at 1hp, it shot, and killed me. One of the worst experiences I've ever had in the game.

People have been calling for years to have MM fixed to balance out the teams that are picked. If you look at the player stats of each team, you will see that one side gets stacked with good players and the other gets stuck with below average players.

It's simple math folks. At peak hour game play they have around 3-400 players in cue on average. For simplicity we'll say 300, that's a 10 match cue for the player every minute or so. So, if the most played tiers are 6 and 8 you cut that number in half. Meaning, WG is putting a match every few minutes out of 150 players. You're playing many of the same people who are playing the same tiers you are. There isn't going to be a decent cue time with a machine waiting for variables that do not exist. That would be 'skill.' They just jumble up the same 3-400 people. You aren't going to change MM, only more players online playing can do that. It's like 11k on line for cryin' out loud. Skill based MM is NOT possible. No matter how you slice the gamers.

Very often I experience this with blind shots. Where the projectile is way off compared to whenever the enemy tank is visible. My current theory is that blinds that bends more than any bullet fired by Angelina Jolie in the movie Wanted is probably because the enemy is hidden in that exact bush but WG do not want me to hit it. So the only right thing to do is to keep firing at that bush until you start to hit...which usually means the enemy has relocated :-(

Played this game for years and am convinced WG programming is designed to keep most players at around 50%. They do this with the MM, RNG and spotting mechanic. Time and again when my WR starts to climb I always then experience a long losing streak. When falling back to near 50% I'll start winning more once again. This pattern is just too suspicious to ignore.

World of tanks has pushed me too far in many ways. Horrible balancing practices, Gold ammo, Gambling boxes, Black market, Limited vehicles, Low credit gain, Extremely bad maps, and WG's insistence on making the game worse with every update. I'm lucky if I even play the game once a month anymore. Its not fun anymore, the power creep and WG have ruined this game. It will take a lot for me to come back.

I’ve started running vision on a lot of mediums. E50, M46. I feel like a lot of lights often aren’t carrying their wieght, concentrating on damage rather than spotting for others. Armour is important, sometimes teams need a motivated leader to push in and make a play.

I have found that i dont worry about winrate so much and just focus on my own performance. I try to win but if the game says no all i do is take a moment to think what i could have done better. This has greatly improved my performance. You cant change others but you can change your self. I dont really like playing tier 10 but reacently i finaly got the udes 15/16 and it is a beast of a tank. Sneaky, mobile, armored and packs a hell of a punch. Slowly climbing to be my most played tank and when all seems to go wrong my go to tank now days.

Hi QB g the way I reset the WoT match making algorithm is to never play on the same tier for more than two losses in a row. When the losses emerge I switch at least two tiers up or down. Works for me.

Battles are so short, that it is even difficult to do the "Do 2000 Damage in a single Battle" daily challenge on Tier 10 in less than 20 battles. Battles usually END - by END I mean "Time until everyone is back in their garage" in less than 4 minutes, at least since the WT E 100 is back. You have at least 1 platoon of 3 with this tank on each team currently. And then they just jump in there - kill 5 tanks in the the first burst deciding the battle within the first 2 minutes every single time. Its absolutely insane.

I know how you feel, I recently had a run of 88 battles with only 21 wins! My normal win rate is 50% to 52%, not the 24% in that session! As you said one just has to dig deep, and play each battle as you go. There were one or two very questionable games, where nearly 50% of my team were dead within 2-3 minutes of the battle starting (suspected new spotting cheat); but the main problem was the appauling match making - newish players vs well seasoned players!! Thank you for the videos, I learn a lot without the pain of battle. LoL.

Since the arty bug, back in the Pleistocene, we know the formula applied to every player is not the same. Back then, you would aim a player and the bullet could fly by even 100 meters away from reticle outbound limit. Then you changed target and no problem... Finally go back to that player, and again 100 meters away. I had some replays with it in my old computer.

Im seeing a lot of comments saying that other players shouldn't worry about stats, but that argument is like saying, "If you're sad, just stop being sad!" Telling another player who's looking to improve to "stop worrying about your stats" is disingenuous. Some players focus on their stats because they want to improve. They like climbing up the ladder. It's when they become toxic or self-destructive that it becomes a problem. I'm also not saying that not having motivation to improve is bad either. Some just wanna shoot stuff at their own leisure.

This basically go for all team based games. Especially if you sign up on a random battle. To me it's all about how you perform in loses/close games. You had 10k combined after 5 minutes because you realized you had a defensive team. You can rush in, do 1-2k damage and die or make the right play and keep your team in the game. You falling back along with the north holding is the only reason this game was even close, otherwise it would have been lis 15-5 for the other team.

When RNJ is just saying NO YOU AIN'T, I sometimes find that Quitting and then reentering WoT will sometimes do the trick. Other times, I need to ALT-F4 and walk away from the computer for a short period of time, before coming back and trying again. RNJ shutting you don't sometimes seems to be session dependent, and just starting a new session works. Other times, it's not just RNJ and walking away is needed to reset the PLAYER'S injection into the game...

The basic problem with this game is more than just the programming. The fact you have to play with people still learning the basics against a team that is clearly not is one of the biggest problems with the game. The rest is about the grind, just too much.

Not just the matchmaker. I get matches where no matter how hard I strategize, the game finds places to put my rounds where they always miss or bounce. Never where I am aiming. So the only pens I get are at the end of the match. Getting only 1 or 2 pens, sometimes even 0. Making all my try-hard-ing for nothing. Making no difference whether I try my hardest or just walk away after entering a match. I remember when the outer aiming circle meant there was just a *chance* that your shot would not go where you are aiming, and not a mechanic used to completely dictate how a player performs. There's no better way to make a player feel like the worst when trying their hardest doesn't result in anything. "Wow dude, you're so bad you might as well be an afk tank every match. You're just a complete waste of a player slot on a team."

I do this all the time, pushing a flank only to realize I'm the only one. Really annoying! Like you said, it doesn't mean the game is lost, only that you will get wiped out in one minute. Sometimes it can be smart to fall back on a flank and bait the enemy team into overextending.

I have been playing green wn8 for the past month but yesterday I got trolled by the matchmaker really hard. I had to play against tier 10 twice in a row in the bc 12t and to top it off I got tier 10 again for the third time on himmelsdorf... Needless to say I lost all 3 games and after playing 11 games in multiple tanks and tiers, I managed to get 1 win out of 11 games... My rng was horrible, my teammates all die within 5 min and there was nothing I could do to win some games. I managed to win some games later after taking a break but my wr that evening was 33%...

When I get a horrible session nowadays, I just go, "fuck it", and close the game. When I was younger, I can power through a losing streak better, but now I just can't deal with the stress of powering through one. Prolly because back then I played WoT on net cafes 1-2 times a week, in which I can only play during that time I'm in there, unlike now that I have my own PC and I can just stop for some time, then try again hours later after resting or doing something else.
