My (future) husband and I had this exact dilemma. We believe in being married by God and with how corrupt the government and legal system is now, we were stuck between if it somehow was sinful (undermining or not believing God Himself to marry us) by allowing the manmade (corrupt) legal system to marry us, if God already approves and gave us His blessing for our marriage. My husband definitely, initially took the side of if God married us we don't need man to. Which I agree with, but was still on the fence about for reasons you mentioned, but after praying and seeking God about it, ultimately He highlighted to me just like you said, our marriage must be fully legal, with God first and foremost, but also with man. Then there can be NO legal rights for the enemy to attack our marriage. So that's what we decided on. We will wait to fully begin our marriage and move in together until we also have the physical, legal document of marriage through man's legal system on earth. Hopefully it's soon !

I commented on this KZbinr’s page because she was saying that it was okay, because God has spiritually joined the two people together. What the heck??? I asked her, “ Please define fornication? “ Jesus said to render unto Caesar what is Caesar- we have to abide by the laws of the land. Jesus even paid taxes. If it were as just simple as saying, “ We’re married because we both agree,.” If that was the case ,then we would have a world full of even more polygamy. The devil is so conniving and people who just want to hear a prophetic voice and want to be comfortable in sin will fall for the devil’s lies.

I agree with you sister. God will not go against His Word. Look what 1 Corinthians 6:9-11 it states that fornicators (has a list of others sins too) that will not inherit the kingdom of God. Well because my spouse wouldn't stop narcissism, cheating, drugs, ect... I had to file for a divorce, after he wanted to do whatever, have me wait for when he feels his done doing whatever. He always frowned upon my devotion to God as well

Also, Matt 22:23-45 Jesus was asked if a Woman’s husband died and she remarried who would she be married to in heaven? Implies there was traditional marriage. Since when have people been saying it’s Ok? No it is not ok! A Sacrament in the Orthodox Faiths it is legal and binding in the eyes of God. Some countries you don’t need a marriage because it is considered a Civil Union and you don’t need a marriage license to get married in those countries. However you go by the Law of the Land. That is scripture. In the United States you need a marriage license so it is a sin in God’s eyes.It’s immoral to say God ordained this type of behavior. Your being it kind! And companionate. I don’t speak to one of my children because she chooses not to feel guilty about her choices. I never said a word. However she is lost because of fornication. Marry in a church and be how they used to say in my grandma’s day. Make a decent woman or man out of yourself.
