Why what has happened have I missed the update ?? I've had the same issue with Barclays not for the money Ur talking but £480quid I was scammed out of they said they would refund it so I used the cash then 4 weeks later said it was a mistake ans they want it back in 7 days or would go to court, I put a complaint in and they said they find in my favour and offered me compensation of £50 but I still owe them £480quod so have to now esculate it to financial ombudsman!!! Pathetic bank!! Have I missed the update video on this as surely it has been resolved now ?

So I was in a similar situation, I was a victim of fraud, I had the proof, they did an investigation and they told me I was “no longer of value to them as a customer”, I only found this out when I’d started doing the Current Account Switching Service from Barclays and there was “technical difficulties” - they’re absolute scumbags.

Every time you withdraw cash from the hole in the wall take a receipt and shove it in a box, this way if you ever get accused of money laundering you just tip out the box of receipts and say there you go this covers every last penny.

Barclays are horrific I've had to take them to an ombudsman recently and they said they were over run with complaints about them 🤦 most of the time they'll decide you can't bank with them any more and just not tell you why

Firstly, 'going in the bank' is not going to solve your issue at all. They won't deal with you in any branch. You are being investigated for fraud/money laundering because of your very irregular and bizarre banking behaviour. And the only way to deal with that is get a solicitor to deal with it I imagine. Explaining what you do, you'll have to go quite high up in the bank. You cannot trust banks, you need to be cleverer with your money. Only leave so much in each bank, you should have like, 6 banks at least, and crypto exchanges and hard wallets, and have your money in other investments as well. Having all your money in one bank is absolute insanity and shows a lack of maturity or understanding of how financial institutions work.
