Words will never be enough to describe his genius; words will never be enough to describe our grief at losing him so early.

J'y étais et même j'ai pu être pris en photo et parler un peu avec lui. Un homme très timide et réservé.

1st time I saw Gordon was at Vowel Games in the Sundowner Bar in Dunoon in the early 90's. Still have never heard or saw anyone as great as him.

@@jjvwguy2489 Almost impossible to believe any human can play like this, yet in 1989, while he was on tour in Canada with the Vail band, I sat beside him for two hours and listened and watched him play....never repeated a tune...just stopped once and a while for a sip of ale...and there were 20 ales lined up in front of him all time.... what a memory...best piper ever!

What amazing audio quality from presumably VHS transfer? Did you run the audio track, once digitally transferred, thru some sort of audio program or whatever to remove noise or artifacts, cuz this is great quality considering it's 20 years old
@YouennPiper7 жыл бұрын
yes, it is VHS transfer with no special work on the audio track. The amateur recorder Didier Paquette (and the micro of the camera) was a good one ! Youn

J'ai filmé cette prestation avec un camescope Canon UC9 HI, ce qui explique la qualité du son, c'était du très bon matériel amateur pour l'époque. Dommage que je n'ai pas assisté à l'épreuve écossaise....
