If the size of the actual vehicles were faithfully reproduced, the Decepticons would generally be an army of giants several times larger than the Autobots, and Bruticus would have an unbalanced physique with extremely enlarged arms. We'll just have to give up and accept it. The reason Blastoff is a space shuttle rather than a fighter jet is probably to avoid overlap with Aerialbots.
