I always thought nothing will beat soul land from my top list for dongua But this one is out of the world and the way they made this is so awesome. Complete and better screen play and everything is top notch even animation also good. Music everything is extraordinary. And above all the story is really interesting.

Swallowed Star, Perfect World, The Great Ruler, Shrouding the heavens, Big Brother, Throne of Seal are about the level of Soul Land. Apotheosis animation not bad, too bad the adaption is messed up..

This is one the best donghuas I've watched: First and forever first: SOUL LAND (Duoluo Dalu) 2nd and amazing adventure type donghua: Throne of Seal (Shen Ying Wang Zuo) 3rd and ever hanging coz it's too short: DEMON HUNTER (Cang Yuan tu in Chinese) 4th and first ever post apocalyptic donghua that I love: The First Order 5th and so far the only "advanced civilization" donghua with cultivation that I watched: Forty millenniums of cultivation

yep, I think they want to create something new. first of all their was no butterfly god living inside Meng chaun. which is clearly legendary 8th tribulation eminence. secondly, the hat villain did not survived 1st encounter with mc mom. it was her who killed her not mc(acc to original novel) thirdly, I think all the novel events already happened and some one is trying to change the future after the end of novel where mc become 8th tribulation eminence. and butterfly god also came from future.

The work is truly amazing, top-notch in every aspect! Huge thanks to the Creator and the entire team at YOUKU!!! I stopped watching Japanese anime a while ago because it had turned into low-quality, immature content lacking originality… I'm so relieved that I made the switch to Donghua; storytelling, art style, and animation are all much better. The animation feels incredibly lifelike, and I'm not exaggerating, the emotional impact is profound! The only thing I recall while watching 3:36:40 is Ichigo from Bleach facing his hollow in his version of “sea of consciousness”. It was awesome!
