Synopsis: As a fresh graduate of the police academy, Qian Xiaotian's greatest dream is to join the criminal investigation department and become a detective. But by a twist of fate, he is accepted into the Traffic Corps PDU with top scores, where he becomes an intern as a dog trainer and even gets assigned a proud police dog named "Dumpling". Thus, Qian Xiaotian, whose dream has been shattered, begins his painful professional life at the PDU, where every day is a battle against heaven, earth, and dogs. As Qian Xiaotian dives deeper into his job, he finds a new understanding of the dog training profession. He sees old age, illness, and death. He passes through trials and tribulations. He learns to persevere or give up. Joy and sorrow are intertwined. The relationship between police dogs and the trainers is not only a story between human beings and dogs but also about true camaraderie. Yes at first it’s hard to train a dog but if you have patience and love at dog you will gain at the end because the love and trust of dog from you and you too have no comparison. Can someone explain the ultrasonic device in canine unit training? I read about it and understand it can deter/command the dog from doing things such as barking, or stop progressing forward. How can it assist in positive training? Such as to go fetch and bring back?? Please train your recreational backpackers to not wander out of the safety zone, and to follow backpacker protocols...whatever it or they may be for that area of backpacking. They can see the sunrise in a safer place...really! Dumpling's agility had improved after the search and rescue mission. Having walked the raw land/trail he came back and was able to complete that green apparatus in the competition trial. Dumpling!! Really, are you serious or playing a prank on us viewers? 😚 Dumpling. Anyway, merit is yours and therefore goes to you. And all your buddy canines and dogs.

Dumpling in the first half is acting like an old person, capable but somewhat incoherent. 🤣 Dumpling is cute! 🐕‍🦺. Lovable! As I scroll and read comments, it would appear that there will be sadness later in the movie. 😢? Keep dogs and other animals well, comfortable enough, in real life not on screen, as best as possible. They really don't need much. They don't even mind if humanely euthanized, though the owners may have trouble taking that route. Animals don't understand or are even aware of this concept of death, like we think we understand death. These dogs on duty wear a mouth guard so they cannot bite to attack or defend... Unfortunately. They are less likely to be wrong about suspects, or to do the wrong thing by suppression via biting, but may misunderstand the instructions from human handlers or protocol. A human police or security is more likely to be wrong about suspects, and likely do the wrong thing due to poor judgement, bias, ineffectiveness. It is likely not a result due to misunderstanding of instructions or protocol. But in using firepower someone is more likely be severely injured or die. Getting bitten by a trained police dog would cause injury but not severe or life-threatening. It is unlikely that the person/suspect was wrongly bitten or was wrongly contained by using dog's mouth. But the dogs are muzzled here. Respect! Dogs well trained are like progressive technology with a mind and will. A robust technology or true machine applied in the correct situation or under the correct circumstances is much like a dog with specific purpose, but without a will or unpredictable needs (Dumpling threw up egg shell, and contracted an illness that caused bloody stool) and having an artificial mind in which artificial intelligence would work best without fail. Dumpling, after having been left alone in the subway station by the handler, is being very active in learning commands from his handler. Dumpling, what happened? 🤣. You are loved! I just realized that the woman police articulate the commands using more enunciation, or intonation then most of the guys. It is over expressive. But it appears to be more readily captured by the dog who does not understand words but can only respond to the sound that the handler is articulating. Do the dogs respond more efficiently to Mandarin or Cantonese or English? Their hearing of volume and tonal differences, at least, is superior to humans. Other measures/variabilities of sounds including speech they are also more attuned than humans are. I don't understand why the canine units cannot have an outdoor kennel, or a covered outdoor kennel for ventilation/fresh air and/or natural lighting - at least part time. It is much nicer, and definitely healthier. If too much outdoor stimulus could affect training results, then a covered outdoor kennel would be ideal. Fresh air and lack or avoidance of artificial/fluorescent light should actually improve their performance, should it not?? Wild canines are most efficient and effective in everything they do, because there is no option. The wild canines get fresh air, and don't have artificial lighting. You would expect the canine units to sleep or rest (be not alert) in the indoor kennel, but that is not always the case. They are not human, and cannot preoccupy themselves with options like reading, watching TV, listening to music, have a snack, play video games, look out the window, write comments on KZbin, think about or look forward to the next day, etc. If they are to be completely devoid of any physical or mental activities, it is not possible - because the unwelcomed stimuli such as artificial lighting, their own stench that is not allowed to stagnate/morph the same way it does in the outdoor air but is doing so under enclosed space/insulation, the sounds that bounce off indoor walls instead of diffraction like sound waves would in the outdoor, etc. But eventually they would fall asleep, because in this world we sleep, therefore dogs sleep. In the 13 Tombs training facility, Dumpling stops midway on the green apparatus. He is uncomfortable continuing. And encouraged to continue he stumbled and fell off. Like a wild canine he knew when to stop and not take the risk. Perhaps he needs more agility training. On a real mission, knowing when to stop proceeding if an undesirable event may follow is actually good...unless there is absolutely no choice. Dogs don't understand the concept of death and therefore do not fear, but they understand the concept of taking or not taking a risk that can result in a needlessly discomforting or compromising situation, and understand pain and injuries. As the wild canines understand.
