On the Tasting History KZbin channel, Max Miller said that while doing historical research for one of his recipes, he fund out that "meddling" used to be an English metaphor for having sex (I can't remember the historical period or the recipe though), and he said learning that gave the famous line from Scooby Doo a whole new meaning for him.

Dale, played by actor Tyler Labine, has a tattoo on his upper arm. The tattoo depicts a chainsaw with the words "Chainsaw Love" written underneath it. The tattoo is a humorous element in the film and reflects Dale's love for horror movies and his affinity for chainsaws, which becomes relevant to the plot of the movie.

they say they're up for a sequel, but they're waiting for the perfect story. apparently, my treatment for tucker and dale vs. the wolfman, didn't cut it. though i'm now thinking tucker and dale vs. evil dead is a movie that needs be made. the rights would be a bitch to figure out, and i'm pretty sure campbell'd come out of retirement for a cameo. climax: tucker, broken and incapacitated. allison, unconscious. dale, on the ground with a deadite standing over him. he pushes himself along the ground, grapping anything he can to beat off the deadite. (don't be weird. unless that's your thing. not here to kink shame.) folley: we hear a two stroke revving of a chainsaw. cut to a 2/3 shot of the deadite standing over dale. chainsaw bursts through its abdomen and works its way upward. cut to dale being doused in gore. a hand reaches out. dale takes it and's lifted from the muck. "hope you don't mind me lending a hand (heh), you boys seem pretty new to this. the name's ash. ash williams." ftb, roll credits and the torch is passed. well, here's to wasting the next year of my life because a young lady had to comment on the similarities of hillbilly architecture.

But with a movie like Scary Movie, it’s LITERALLY making fun of well known horror movies like Scream and I Know What You Did Last Summer, so it’s technically just a parody… and not really a HORROR comedy!

And boy, did it not disappoint. I've liked Alan Tudyk since I first saw in Firefly and I remembered Tyler Labine as the friend of the guy whose soul had been sold to the Devil by his parents in the TV show Reaper, which I really liked, so that was a good selling point as well. Interesting facts about Tucker and Dale vs Evil (2010) Alan Tudyk came up with the idea to pour beer on his face to treat Tucker's bee stings. Towards the end of the movie, when Tucker & Dale are reminiscing about catching frogs at the creek. Dale mentions that he used to lick them. Tyler Labine actually did lick a Toad in a small role he had on The X-Files: Quagmire (1996) 14 years prior. Tyler Labine chose the "GIV'ER" hat to wear as Dale for two reasons. First, it looks like the word "GIVER" alludes to his kind and generous nature. Second, it is the Canadian equivalent of "Git 'er done," the redneck phrase popularized by Larry the Cable Guy. Tyler Labine came up with the idea to wear a hat that says "Giv'er" on it. Jesse Moss and Chelan Simmons both appeared in Final Destination 3 (2006).

It's not really the running in the woods... it's the running in the woods in one direction while looking in another direction. That's what kills ya!

My dad has a notoriously dry sense of humor but we both love horror movies. I had him watch this when it first came out and he was cracking up the whole time. This movie is one of a kind with how the humor is and it all just being a misunderstanding... lmao

It's the most unexpected thing ever! At a certain point, I was dying laughing because I could hear the husband's chuckling while, watching the Mrs. Donkey bray laughing, just herk, herk, herk.

the cinematography between the point of view how it was shot...rom com view vs slasher view...the camera angles too...I liked that contrast

This movie is hilarious. Tucker and Dale were both great, as was Ally. I need to see this one again. 8/10
