Love the Mrs logic: Sawyer was literally tortured by the other survivors, has been assaulted, Jin has been doing regular domestic abuse (including emotional) and assaulted folks, Locke has assaulted folks and sabotaged survival attempts, Jack has assaulted people, etc, etc all of them usually with no reason or wrong assumptions (as Mrs even points out herself), but god forbid Sawyer be a snarky jerk. He's clearly unredeemable lol. It is entertaining watching how much it bothers her though haha.

Ethan Rom is an anagram of Other Man, so in the episode where he dies, we were already talking about The Others, (what do they want, where are they and why are they there hiding, are they good or bad guys). We froze the screen dozens of times during episodes to read the maps with labels, and discuss theories like; Rousseau’s expedition team boat landing location, where is the light and electricity coming from, how close are they to Figi given their flight path, where are the people Boone heard on the radio, scouting the island map for where the rest of the wreckage would be found, how did a ship get inland on the island and is there a real Black Rock shipwreck in history, why all the biblical names, how many extras are gonna be brought in that we don’t yet know about, etc Biblical names; John (Jack), Christian, James, Aaron, Michael, Benjamin, Daniel, Mark, Tom, Zachary, Seth, Jacob, Matthew, Joshua, etc. and non-Biblical names for the girls. Don’t push the Button.

My lottery numbers now are… 3, 12, 33, 48, 57 & 12 6, 12, 24, 36, 48, 3 3, 12, 21, 24, 33, 42 3 and 12 are recurring numbers in my life which I didn’t pay much attention to before the show. Now I see it’s meaning through hindsight and spooky magic at a distance.

Okay, now it’s starting to irritate me that you are still badmouthing Sawyer, your partners favorite character, yet you still can’t humanize him even for that BUT Kate’s still lovable after what she’s done, right? You have found zero like-ability in James’s southern charm or his sarcastic wit. Maybe you don’t deserve to get to know him if you still can’t see beyond your own hatred of a stereotype. JS I will finish this season out with you but if I have to hear you call him a prick every time he opens his mouth, it’s going to be a far less enjoyable show to watch the second time around. We know that it’s a type of purgatory, everyone’s fears, regrets and sins come back to haunt them when they are isolated and helpless. Drop the conclusions for a while and let the story unfold so you can learn from it as you enjoy the ride. It doesn’t look like you’re enjoying the show at all unless Hugo says something funny or John says something profound. You’re not a fan of trauma excuses for behaviors? Unless they come from a Jack or sKate or Sayid or Walt or Charlie or Claire or Boone or a John type though, right? Did a Sawyer traumatize you at some point in your past? Remember that LOST was probably one of the first series that got real Internet buzz. It's always been a theory of mine that, between the long breaks in airing and the long periods between episodes featuring a particular character that the writers had staff people combing Internet chat sites and culling the best theories. This would make LOST interactive television.

Funny you say that, they sold the show with the first 3 season written and it was supposed to end after that. But it's was such an insane success that the network basically forced their hand to make them do another 3, which is why it kind of starts to get a little weird and loosey goosey towards the end. Still some great television though.

1:29:00 To your point about the writers not knowing what was going on: If I remember correctly, that was the case. Back then, the show was close to shutting down. But then it began to find an audience. But the writers hadn't anticipated it being picked up, or continuing for much longer. As it gained popularity, they had to write...an actual story. And that's when it got really crazy. Which is part of the reason why so many people either absolutely hated the show, or loved it. It WILL be frustrating, so be prepared for it.

Not an opinion shared by all. This venomous spewing is ruining the enjoyment of watching this as a whole a second time, for me. She finds reasons to hate him, when there are none, even more-so than the islanders themselves, by this time even the watchers knew he wasn’t a bad guy who didn’t deserve to be tied up, tortured by Sayid or beaten for a briefcase by her, and no one threw a hissy fit because he grabbed her arm and made her talk to him, probably because they just saw the interrogating, detaining cop in Sawyer and the criminal untrustworthiness in Kate. She seems to hate the air that he breathes, the way he looks, and everything he does or says out loud. It was cute and funny at first but as the season’s gone on, it looks like blind rage that she feels for him as if Sawyer conned her for 15 years then killed her dog. There won’t be redemption enough to make him one of her favorite characters just like I’ll never accept Affleck as the the Batman. It’s perfectly fine if that’s her opinion but I cant be friends with people who Hate Sawyer, all the way through, regardless of his backstory and personality… just can’t. We were already cracking up at his pet nicknames by this far into the season, because they all started unpacking their baggage together. We probably would have been doing that now with laughter in the comment section (did he just call her Freckles and him StayPuff, lol) if we didn’t feel all that anger and negativity from that side of the screen, for him alone. I think he’s the funny one, not the annoying one.

If her annoyance ruins it for you then there's definitely Lost reactors out there better suited for you. That being said, are you aware that they have already watched and reacted to the entire series? These are essentially reposts in the form of marathons, but they finished reacting to the season 6 finale almost a year ago. I mention it because her opinions on various characters, Sawyer included, aren't exactly stagnant for 6 seasons. Though I'd still say that perhaps just go with another Lost reactor if you feel this strongly about it, I mean watching reactions should be an enjoyable experience, after all. :)
