Gerardo is one of the very best flamenco guitarists of all-times. Paco De Lucia said that to him Gerardo was the best technician in flamenco guitar today. Paco would have known. I like Jeronimo Maya also but, Gerardo is a monster himself.

Me encanta Gerardo Núñez y es el guitarrista más técnico y quizá limpio de la historia. Pero no es el más completo. Ese lugar le corresponde a Paco. Aún así está entre los 3 mejores sin ninguna duda.

It's very much live, it's the audio sync which is obviously out on your laptop as my version is perfect and knowing the studio version and having seen Gerardo play this live numerous times, i can attest the man is a monster guitarist, capable of more than you or i will be able to attain in 5 lifetimes.

Its not live, for one, because there are no mics, or cables anywhere. For 2, you can clearly see the right hand movements arent the same as the record in many places. Doesnt mean he's not great live, it just means that for TV, sometimes playback works better.

Sí, es playback. El sonido es igual que en el disco, todo está perfectamente ecualizado y nadie, NADIE 8guitarras, cajón ni palmeros) lleva micro. Fígate en el 1:45 que se oyen 2 guitarras haciendo punteo a la vez con voces diferentes y justo está enfocado el 2º guitarra que hace ritmo. eso y muchos más detalles. Hay mucos videos de una cierta época en la que Gerardo hace playback supongo que porque en las teles no se molestaban en montar sonido para tocar una o dos piezas en medio de un progrfamas de variedades.

Yes, it must be overdub. Check out the musical phrase on 1:46, this phrase has two guitars and the second guitarist isn't playing it. Gerardo is definitely playing note for note, but there are NO MICROPHONES. He does play like this live, but TV shows are like this, they almost always ask musicians to overdub

I fully agree with your observations. I only realised that there were no microphones only after hearing that quick 3rds passing on 1:46 you mentioned and that octave phrase on 3:07, and of course you cannot hear a single note coming from the accompanying guitar.

Te equivocas compadre. Hay diferencias respecto al original, y en el otro video exactamente lo mismo. Diferencias de matices porque la pieza es prácticamente igual. Fíjate en la primera falseta de introducción y te darás cuenta como se come alguna nota con el dedo índice. Vamos, como no hayan hecho un playback o montaje antes. Lo cual me parecería aún más estúpido. En el anterior video se retarda un segundo o así, por eso parece playback. Y en este, en algún momento también. El otro día estuve viendo un vídeo de Paco y exactamente igual. Sigo sin creerme que estos tipos hagan playback. Yo, desde luego me negaría, y no soy ni profesional.
