I find that with a lot of pop arrangements, it's helpful to up the tempo a bit since there are no lyrics to help draw the listener in. The orchestra did very well, an excellent interpretation. But hey, that's just 20+ years of experience touring as a violinist and conductor in the US, Europe, and Asia I'm drawing from.

I compose myself as well as produce pop, rnb etc. only for the last 4 years. Not as much experience as you. But I think this song in particular works well faster with the chorus but I would have loved them to slow down to start a new verse then gradually up the tempo again. Just my opinion. Very enjoyable though.
