Sad ending brought about by selfishness acted out. She was one of those, "it's all about me" people. It just never ends up well when we let our jealousies and desires take us over. What a story!

True but it takes too and that man she was having the affair also led her on. Now, I don't agree with what she did at all. It was selfish and crazy...yet she didn't get there all by herself. Imagine if he told her from the beginning he would never leave his wife? idk, it's all tragic.

I pray Wanda's spirit is at rest for she made terrible choices in regards to being someone's mistress. Killing the gardener was horrible as he had nothing to do with it. Sad that such an intelligent , successful woman got trapped by a liar . I have been to funerals where you had to be prepared to get out of there because of family feuds . There were some funerals I would not go to because I knew ,my mom knew and other family members knew there was going to be trouble . So ya it happens and police know about it and wait . Wanda was to good for Mr. Smith , but she never should have gone after his wife . His wife was not to blame, she should have gone to source of her troubles, Mr. Smith . What waste of a mind and person, lost to lies and deceit .
@robertdemitro15203 жыл бұрын
@@awaiting...His...return : I didn't say Wanda was innocent . She got caught up with a married man and the fact she was married didn't absolve her of having an affair . We don't know what the agreement was in the beginning of the affair . Mr. Smith was older and seemed have been around the block once or twice , he manipulated her . Sounds like Wanda was green , she only knew her husband in terms of sexual relations . The affair with Wanda didn't seem to be Mr. Smith's first Rodeo . My point is if she was going to aim her gun at someone, it should have been Mr . Smith , not his wife . God only knows what Mr. Smith promised Wanda ,that she left her job with the State ? He broke her and left her . She was a victim of a man who knew exactly what he was doing , a manipulative , deceitful person ,preying on an inexperienced young woman . Mr. Smith living a double life , he was on the bohemian scene a lot longer than Wanda and most likely ueed young women taking drugs and alcohol . A playground for a sexual predator, who wants to get away with taking advantage of young women . The scales were not balanced with Wanda . His ( ? ) love only got Wanda abused .

She had so much going for her and she took a wrong turn and kept going down the wrong way which led to such devastating results. Sad. She really could have pioneered so many things for women with her being the first at some really difficult accomplishments. Thank you for covering this story. Like always, I had never heard about it. So many stories have been lost to time and do need to be told. Beautiful cemetery angels and statues and everything always looks so pretty in the snow but I know it is bitter cold and difficult to trek through. It is quite a work out walking in snow with no snowshoes.

a bit if a misnomer on shoe shows, I spend a lot of time in the deep stuff...you don't need snowshoes unless it gets deeper than12 to 14", snowshoes actually impede you in snow like this here...I can move much better in my calf high Danners. 👍

It's very sad that she was so fixated on this man that it came to this. She was pretty, and with her high education to boot, she could've easily found herself a better man. I have a good friend that was having an affair with a married guy for several years. He would do the same thing, lead her on, give her money, buy her nice clothes and things, and make false promises that he would leave his wife someday. Well of course that never happened, and she got tired of the BS and ended the relationship, thank goodness. There is an old saying about having affairs: "married men make the worst husbands"... meaning, don't bother trying to steal another woman's husband, because it won't work. Anyway, great story and video, as always!

What a story! That era is one of my favorites to learn about. What a crying shame for all involved. This woman could have been an incredible role model for young women in that time (not the wild side) but to have become a lawyer and shown young ladies a better life could be attained. The possibilities for her could have been tremendous. It's almost gut-wrenching. She never gave herself a chance to shine. I'm sorry for the wife and the gardener. That funeral certainly wasn't dull!
