Part 2: • Young Bleed on Master ...
--------
Young Bleed reminisced about growing up in Baton Rouge during the late '80s and early '90s. Hailing from the Southside Bottom neighborhood, Young Bleed reflected on the profound impact the crack epidemic had on his community. Young Bleed's upbringing was marked by challenges and resilience, including his mother's life-threatening childbirth decision and the struggle against socio-economic hardships. He also discussed the pivotal moment when his rap career intersected with music mogul Master P. Bleed originally created a local hit which Master P later remixed into the famous track "How Ya Do Dat." This collaboration helped propel Baton Rouge's unique sound into the mainstream.

One time back in the late 90s I was at a pasture party in Mississippi and Bleed and Maxminelli were performing. Pasture Parties were just what they sound like. A massive party in a country pasture. The Concentration Camp were performing on a large wooden porch that was off the back of a barn. When the group was performing it was so many people on the stage during “who’s da siccess” and the whole stage caved in like a v shape. The rappers and big speakers fell into the gap. Shit was crazy. About 5 years later I saw Bleed, Minnelli and Rossini again at another pasture party. I was chillin with Bleed and Big Ken and a buncha others and Bleed gave me a plate of fried shrimp. Generous dude. I would be one of the only white guys at those parties but it was all love. Good memories

Jeeze, the 90s were so long ago. Bleed out here looking like someone's grandfather same with Lil Gotti. These dudes are way older now. How Ya Do Dat is Master P's best verse ever and a top 3 KLC production ever. KLC ate that beat up! Master P and Young Bleed's flows were crazy! I remember everywhere I went in 1997 people were playing that song. Also, it was on the "I'm Bout It" soundtrack first so they recorded it at the beginning of 1997.
