Reuben’s father singing along to his son’s song & knowing every word was incredibly touching. Then, after the performance, he goes on stage to congratulate & support him. The bond between these two really brought a tear to my eyes! Just beautiful.

Don’t give up! You are such a great singer. (I had the feeling that Simon really liked the young man.) The woman who knocked the young man’s parents bc his teeth were less than perfect is ridiculous. Teeth can be fixed but some bitchy women can’t! If you are so judgmental perhaps you can donate your cash to help his career along. ??

I sometimes have a problem with Simon's commentaries...things that really don't need to be said to such young contestants, like "it wasn't perfect", or what he said to the one boy about having only a few more months before his voice changes...young ego's are easily and sometimes deeply affected by thoughtless criticism like that. "Boo" Simon!
@namewithheldbygoogleforsec6738 ай бұрын
you got him wrong about him saying the young boy only had a few months before his voice changes. He was not saying it to hurt the boy's feelings nor was he saying it to drop the boy's ego, he was saying it to let the boy know it was a shame he didnt audition earlier, because of his age he will only hit the high notes will such clarity for a few more months. he was being honest, and not brutal (like he has been with older contestants).

Simon has always been that way. He is a narcissist after all.

It is mind boggling that England and the UK breed such great singers though the years. For me Freddy Mercury was the best to ever come from England. Robbie standing on the stage looked so tiny. But yet he sang and he was bigger than the world. Oh my gosh Henry singing Lightening was beautiful. Joseph singing and playing guitar singing Johnny Be Good kind of threw me. It is a Chuck Berry smash hit being sung by a little white British boy who did a great job on guitar and sang very well. All these young people having the nerves to get on stage and do what they love to do is so wholesome. I would have piddled myself at that age. I started preaching on stage at 7 years old. It was always hard to remember what I was going to say and I had my notes. I could not imagine singing without cue cards or notes.

I got through half a box of tissues watching from beginning to end. Incredible talent all round and so emotional. Only one thing spoiled it - the huge number of adverts, often interrupting the performances. That’s so disrespectful to the boys. Shame on you KZbin.

I wish the audience would shut up cheering and clapping all the way through the acts. When you are hard of hearing it is difficult to concentrate on the act.
@beckykaye74144 ай бұрын
Well in my opinion is basically what they would be doing if they were doing an actual concerts. That's what friends do and it helps the performer get used to distractions.

I agree as I'm hard of hearing too.

Unfortunately, the producers encourage it, and the more got talent videos you watch, you’ll see how they overdub and cut video in showing waves of audience sanding up and cheering wildly. Very unnatural

Simon, do you tell your son that he has 6 month time until things will change for him so he should enjoy things until they last? Cruel, because you cannot know how his voice will be after puberty. Be fatherly when you speak to the young.
@leoniea1386 ай бұрын
Yes
@denadivelbiss40255 ай бұрын
If Simon had explained what he meant by that, it would probably have softened the blow. But not one word about his voice changing soon or that his voice may become even better as it does. Just a sock in the mouth and walk away kind of thing. Please remember to be compassionate, Simon.
