Young Chang Action Bracket Replacement

During the early to mid-90's Young Chang Korea manufactured grand pianos for many Piano manufacturers including Beale. They all have the possibility of "growing action brackets". The metal brackets that the action rails are connected to actually expand over time. Blocking hammers, wide action spread or unstable regulation are sure signs.

Fascinating insight - I wonder if the rails can also suffer from the equivalent of "spread" and therefore - given they are fixed at the ends - bow up or down?

Hi Tack Mack. Not that I'm aware of. The issue as I understand it is that the rails are cast and there was too high a Zinc content causing them to expand. Thanks for watching and feel free to subscribe for more videos!

very good video...I started to notice almost every sentence you end with an up swing in tone.....gets quite annoying....lol
