Young farmer | Eleven year old growing his passion

Fred Junior MacCarthy started writing about farming in Grade 2. He starts his day at 6am, checking on plants and chickens. And after school, he does it all again. Fred joins us this morning to talk to about his first love, farming. #DStv403

I personally applaud the parents for first identifying Fred's interest and seeking to nurture it. Thanks to the E News crew for making the conscious effort to showcase this inspirational story and indeed making the whole world to know that there is hope in the next generation of Africa children. If we encourage our kids to identify their interest and abilities, they will grow with solutions to solve problems like poverty in the continent. It's a challenge to other parents who aspire their children to follow dreams of theirs, which seemingly yield minimal or no impact to society must begin to put on their thinking cups.
