Personally I LOVE this choice for Harleen, she seems so innocent and gentle, and that makes it seem so much better (or painful) to imagine her go full-on Harley Quinn later on. It also parallels Jerome pretty well. Just looking at Jerome, initially he had a pretty cute and "innocent" face, but as things progressed it changed into something terrifying. and I just really really love that..
