YOUNG HEART HERO - Josh Hazell

British Heart Foundation (BHF) celebrated its 6th annual Heart Hero Awards on Wednesday 6 December 2023 at Glaziers Hall in London.
The annual awards celebrate the incredible supporters who go above and beyond for BHF, including the young fundraisers, advocates and heart patients aged 12 and under who have done amazing things in support of BHF’s lifesaving work.
Ten-year-old Joshua from Surrey lost both his paternal grandfather and great grandfather to heart attack while they were in their 40’s.
Although Josh didn’t have the chance to them as they passed away before he was born, Josh was determined to help other families not go through the same loss.
Along with his dad Perry, they completed a triathlon together to raise money for BHF in memory of Josh’s grandfathers.
So far, Josh has raised over £4,000 for BHF lifesaving science and is determined to do more making him a true Young Heart Hero.
