This is probably a well known fact, but most people end up marrying someone who are similar to their parents, in most aspects that is. Sons usually end up with someone similar to their mom, daughters do the same but end up with someone with the traits of their father. This can make it hard to find a romantic relationship when your parents were abusers, you find it normal to be treated in such a way you don’t question it, at least in your unconscious mind, in fact it feels right in your unconscious mind to be with someone like that, the brain is weird. Usually therapy helps with this thing.

Johnny Depp heard himself in those tapes, too, and saw us hear them. Especially if he is able to get sober, I bet he will reflect and make efforts to heal and improve himself. As he gets free of the chains of abuse and addiction, he will feel better and treat others better.

I believe being called a heart-throb was something that was quite new to him as he became an adult. Due to all the strange characters he played later in his career-all with different disguises and props- but he never used the the the main prop that he was blessed with so beautifully, as most handsome actors would? I.e Brad Pitt. He wanted to get so far away from the heart-throb role- because he never truly felt like he was one……… he sees it, he honestly does, and most definitely uses it- for sure. But he does not believe it is truly himself…… I feel he lacked encouragement and praise and being told he was anything special as a child…….. he was never made to feel like he was anything ….. so he just cannot relate…….. he sees it but it’s not him…….. I feel with all the characters he plays he struggles to identity with himself……… he doesn’t truly know who he is???? It’s strange.
