Superboy actually has his strength the whole time because he strength comes from a different source than Tommy Terror's so the collar is calibrated wrong. This is the first Young Justice appearance of Amanda Waller.

This is another one of my favorite episodes! Superboy & Miss Martian going undercover as two convicts in a prison where WALLER was the warden! It was also when they finally acknowledged their feelings for each other with that kiss.

Your foreshadowing commentary is quite interesting....I like how your minds hypothesized certain scenarios with each passing episode...just buckle up! And as a note, Robin, Superboy, KF, Artemis, Aqualad, Miss Martian are commonly referred to as "The Team" by the Justice League...important to remember that!

I have to admit, I've been following you're reactions to this series and I'm eager to see more! Young Justice is one of my favorite TV series ever. In this episode, superboy is given a lot more to do than be angry. While he still has the superman complex we get to see what an asset to the team he is outside of the powers. He was very quick witted and a suprisingly good actor! It was great to see him keep calm under pressure where in previous missions he may not have been. It's also great to see so many DC characters in one place, like an encyclopedia in motion...Thanks for the remider of how much I like this episode! Love hearing what you have to say about the episodes and look forward to seeing more.

The Voice actor for Icicle Jr is Yuri Lowenthal, He sounds familiar because he is the voice of quite of lot of characters not just in this show but many others as well as games like Injustice but more notably he was the original voice for Peter Parker Spiderman in Spiderman PS4 and a few different animated shows.

I always assume when Robin's nowhere to be seen, he's doing missions in the shadows with Batman. They're quite a "dynamic duo". The mystery of The Light is getting more and more interesting, they seem to have their hands in everything and bounce back despite any setbacks. Remembered Marvel doing that same collection of monitor screens with faces blurred, giving out orders in the first Avengers film. Who did it first, who knows?

After all the criminals at Belle Reve considering The Riddler a punchline, he's the only one who managed to escape. Quite the enigma. :P Did enjoy Conner and M'Gann receiving group therapy in prison under cover - Superboy has so many daddy issues. His snarky retort to M'Gann about "all problems being solved in half an hour" seems like a fourth wall break, perhaps not. Amanda Waller was great in her Justice League Unlimited incarnation, voiced by CCH Pounder. You'd enjoy her in Tales from the Crypt: Demon Night for the Halloween season.

So background into the Icicles. Icicle Sr was a villain for OG Green Lantern Alan Scott and the Justice League of America back in the silver or golden age. His son took up the mantel Icicle and became an enemy for Infinity Inc a superhero team mainly formed from kids of the Justice League of America. You probably never heard of any of them.

“I want this drama to end” “He needs to have resolved his daddy issues yesterday” Have some patience and let the show tell its stories and develop its characters. The show does its best to handle these topics: familial issues, trauma, etc., well, just sit back and let it play out. I personally really appreciate the respect and care they put into delving into and representing these topics in a somewhat realistic manner. Also Superboy and Superman fighting would literally make the situation worse 😂

Now THIS is when I knew this show was truly different from the rest! We got a kiss and confirmed relationship within the first season! Seriously when does that ever happen especially with animation, where we don’t get anything till the series finale or close enough. But here no more pinning their a couple and the season isn’t half over yet! That’s how I knew this show wasn’t like the rest!

I think the main reason it comes so late is because its Dick Grayson Robin, Everyone already knows his backstory and has seen many versions of him, the rest of the team are still less known to non-comic readers and even some like Artemis and this version of Aqualad are a mystery to that crowd. Now yes this Robin has his own quirks but again I think it was the right call to hold off on his own episode to give the others a chance to shine
