In an earlier episode, Miss Martian explained that the Green Martians persecute White Martians. A lot of her insecurities are based on how she was treated as a White Martian. Note that she always presents herself as Green, and when Canary told her that "she's turned white" it triggered her trauma. Also, yes that is what she really looks like.

It has been hinted at several times that Megan hides her true Martian form, just look at her reaction when Black Canary asked why she turned white in the counseling session after the train mission. She looks at her hands but calmed down when she was still human. Also while J’onn said she’s his niece, she has talked to Superboy how there’s green and white Martians and that the white ones get treated badly as a minority when they went to school. The bald form she takes at the end is a lie she uses since it’s what the others expect from her uncles real form. The villains can blackmail her because she’s an insecure teenager, that is afraid of what her friends and colleagues would think if they knew what she really looks like. As everyone says non of them would really treat her that way, but teenagers are kinda dumb and insecure. First appearance of Garfield Logan, pretty sure some ion the couch would know who he is/will be when he shows up again.

There has been some foreshadowing about why Ma'gann hides her true form. One in this episode is that she said "i didn't have the happiest childhood" J'onn J'onzz and Ma'gann do not look alike in their true forms.

They've stated it before in a much earlier episode that there are green and white Martians, and that the white Martians are looked as lesser than. And it wasn't showing J'onn rejecting her, he was saying confronting the fact that the team rejected her and that now that no one wants her around, there isn't a place for her on earth. This is my favorite episode so far and I have a feeling it will be for a very long time. When Garfields mom said his name, I had the fastest shift from excitment to worry I had ever had because I know who garfield is going to be later on. This whole episode just made me feel for M'gann so much that shes my certified favorite character. I'm someone who has struggled with my own identity in the past (and still am to a degree) to the point where I litterally started to copy the personalities I would see on the in stuff like books, tv, video games, and esspecily youtube. Every emotion during this episode felt so unbelievably real, from the excitment of simons defeat to the anger of the queen blackmailing M'gann.

White martians are seen as second class citizens with less rights than the green martians, like Martian Manhunter. Psimon recorded M’Gann’s true form, that’s how Queen Bee has it. She was the creature you saw. Interestingly, her mental form is as a green Marie Logan. Psimon called her out saying he wasn’t being true to herself, which M’Gann vehemently denied stating it was her true form. In a previous episode M’Gann mentioned on Mars the green majority oppress the white minority but of course she is green. In a previous episode I’m therapy when she let her guard down her form change from green Megan to white Megan. The Martian Manhunter's form is always been a hybrid form he created from his true Martian form and a normal human form, and he chose that form so that the people of Earth wouldn't be afraid of him because of the way he actually looks. Martians don't look like him in their true form. The white "monster" is M'gann's true form and she showed them a fake version that looks like a younger female version of the form her uncle took on Earth. The fact that her "real" form still looks like Marie Logan except green, bald and with a martian brow is a dead giveaway that she's still lying.

Y’all may have missed in but in the episode when we see the aftermath of the simulation where everyone was dying & pretty much the apocalypse was happening, in the aftermath of it during a therapy session with Black canary, she had said the M’Gann that she had turned white & Miss Martian freaked out but then said “oh you mean Caucasian” it was foreshadowing. She also referenced in another episode prior to this that White martians experience prejudice & hate in mars because of their color & I know the common thought is “then why not just change it if you’re a shape shifter & can turn to anything” but in mars everyone’s psychic & can read your mind easily even if you hide it, they’ll know immediately which is why she left mars. In this episode we see her expect everyone to hate her for being a white martian, even Martian Manhunter hates his niece in her thoughts & turns on her because he’s green & she’s not. So it’s not a crazy assumption that she thinks, but I’d rather what she expects. It’s kinda like people of the lgbtq+ community where they kinda expect to not win over everyone because there’s been so much hates on em for centuries & even now with what the Supreme Court ruled the other day … it’s not too crazy for Miss Martian to think this because she expects hate for being who she is & just living because it’s realistic cause people receive this treatment everyday irl. When you receive so much hate, you eventually start to kinda expect it or fear that it’s inevitable which makes her thoughts & fears very understandable & relatable. & even people that have experienced racism. It’s all a metaphor that I appreciate because it’s done so well

Megan transforming into Black Canary isn't Conner's fantasy or anything like that, he doesn't see that because he's connected to her, he knows she's Megan and that's it. He didn't kiss her under Canary's appearance because he likes that, it's more like he didn't notice she was transformed, it's truly their mind the most important. That's why Megan thinking Conner could be disgusted by her true appearance is stupid, he doesn't stop at that at all. But her true form is really the big white martian, J'onn is a green martian, that's why she kept that to herself because of discrimination, and she lied by turning simply bold in front of her friends
