고등학생이 되기 전까지 나는 아이돌이던 배우던 깊게 좋아하고 덕질을 했던 적이 없었다. 우리나라의 많은 사람들은 아직도 연예인 좋아하는게 밥먹여주냐는 말을 하고 세상의 많은 덕후들을 부정적인 시선으로 바라본다. 부끄럽지만 나도 데이식스를 좋아하기 전까지 그런 생각을 어느정도 가지고 있는 사람에 속했다. 깊은 덕질을 이해하지 못했달까,,데이식스를 좋아하게되고 가수이자 베이시스트 영케이, 그리고 인간 강영현을 알게 되고부터 그런 나의 생각들이 변화하기 시작했다. 아직도 고등학교를 다니는 10대이고 인생에서 무언가를 알았다고 하기에는 세상을 산지 얼마 안되었지만 그동안의 나는 지나치게 현실적이였던것같다. 학업에 대한 스트레스도 심했고 교우관계 등 현실의 나의 삶에 대해 고민이 많았고 걱정도 많았다. 그래서 문화 생활을 잘 즐기지 못했다. 초등학생때도 애어른이라는 말을 지겹도록 많이 들었고 중학생때는 왜이렇게 못노냐고, 못 즐기냐는 말을 정말 많이 들었다. 나도 스트레스를 받으면 내가 좋아하는 것들을 하며 행복을 찾고 싶었다. 물론 아예 여가생활 없이 매일을 전쟁같이 살아온건 절대 아니지만 내가 좋아하는 무언가를 내가 원할때 마음놓고 편하게 누렸던 적은 별로 없었던 것 같다. 나는 그 속에서 돌파구이자 안식처를 찾고 싶었고 그러다가 강영현을 알게 되었다. 그리고 그 이후부터 지금까지 계속 가수 영케이의 팬으로, 그리고 강영현의 열렬한 지지자로 살고있다. 처음 내가 강영현이 좋아질때는 걱정이 먼저 앞섰던 것 같다. 누군갈 깊게 좋아해본 적도 없고 연예인은 그냥 우리와 다른 세계의 사람이라는 편견을 가지고 있었기때문이다 그 당시에도. 그런데 강영현을 좋아하기 시작하고 계속 좋아하면서 그런 나의 생각이 완전히 바뀌었다. 강영현 덕질은 정말로 밥 먹여주는것같다. 팀을 위해 별로 좋아하지 않았던 베이스에 도전하는 모습을 보고 너무 멋있어서 나도 한번도 만져본 적 없는 기타를 치고 싶어서 즉흥적으로 기타를 사고 혼자 연습을 하고있다. 얼마전에는 학교 밴드부를 베이스로 지원하기도 하고 오디션을 준비하고있다. 한국어 영어 둘다 잘하고 스페인어까지 잘 하는 강영현의 모습을 보고 학교에서 그렇게 하기 두렵고 싫어했던 스페인어에도 흥미를 가지고 스페인어 노래를 찾아보게 되었다. 또 나는 지는걸 싫어해서 어떤 사람과 대화를 하면서 의견이 안맞으면 어떻게든 나의 생각으로 상대를 설득하려고 애쓰는 사람이였는데, 강영현이 멤버들이나 팬들과 대화 할 때 의견이 다르면 아 그랬구나~ 그렇구나~ 하면서 상대를 존중해주는 모습을 보며 나의 잘못된 담화 습관도 알게 되었고 고치려고 노력하고 있다. 그리고 가수 활동을 하면서 음악방송, 라디오 등 하루 일과가 많이 힘들고 벅찰텐데 학교 생활까지 성실하게 해내고 A를 받았다고 자랑까지 하는 모습을 보면서 상황을 핑계대며 나태할때가 많았던 나를 반성하게 되었고, 공부를 하는데 있어서 많은 동기부여가 되었다. 항상 자신보다 팬들을 먼저 생각하고 꾸준히 곁에서 노래를 불러주는 강영현 덕분에 내 삶이 이젠 너무 행복하다. 신나는 노래를 부를 때는 파워풀하고 시원한 목소리로 듣는 사람을 소름끼치게 해주고, 조용하고 차분한 노래를 부를때는 따뜻하고 부드러운 목소리로 듣는 사람의 마음까지 녹여주는 강영현이 너무 좋다. 1~2시쯤 공부가 끝나면 씻고 유튜브에서 추천영상 아무거나 보다가 폰을 얼굴에 떨어트리고 지쳐 잠드는것이 강영현을 알게 되게 전 나의 일상이였는데, 강영현이란 사람을 좋아하고부터는 나의 하루 일과가 끝나고 자기 전에 침대에 누우면 무조건 데이식스 노래를 듣는다. 그게 사랑노래이던 이별을 아파하는 노래이던 강영현이 써내려간 가사들이 다 너무 아름답다. 너무 아름다운 가사들과 데이식스의 연주소리, 그리고 그 어떤 악기보다 더 좋은 소리를 내는 데이식스의 목소리가 나에게는 정말 큰 힘이 된다. 강영현을 알게 되고나서 나의 인생에 목표가 생겼다. “강영현 처럼 살자.” 나 말고 다른 많은 마이데이분들도 다 같은 마음이실 것 같다. 그냥 영현오빠에게 너무 감사하고 고맙다. 매일 좋은 노래 써주고 불러주고 마이데이들을 챙겨주고 사랑해줘서 정말 고맙고 사랑해요,,앞으로도 죽을때까지 함께했으면 좋겠어요 진심으로. 물론 영현오빠가 이걸 볼 일은 없겠지만 그저 나의 진심이 전해졌으면 좋겠다. 눈에 보이진 않아도 항상 사랑하고 응원한다고🖤

ah, young k. the vocals are of course always on point. he's one of the best vocalists out there. apart from that, this cover of his in particular made me remember. it was actually exactly a year ago today. i love this song at that time (and until now), but my situation made me compare this song to that scenario. it was kinda sad tbvh. it was from my past relationship. thank you young k for covering this song. talk is a song that holds a lot of memories for me. this version is also sooo good. thank you for giving us wonderful content. ❤️
