It is time to get our first round of young birds out flying & we already have been trap training them so they should come in pretty easy when they are ready!

I find it best to get young birds out once they begin to fly around the loft , and have them out with a few adults so they don't stray far

We let the youngsters out as soon as they beginning to fledge. But we also let them out through the trap without bars for a while. That way they immediately learn where to go to get back inside. They don't care about the bars being introduced later as long as they're hungry.

Letting they fly with some old birds will get them used to the ways of the peregrine quicker .. young birds learn so much from older birds in the fock
