Rene short bout as honest as a 1998 3¢ penny. Banks weren't as common as this show portrays. People cashed their pay notes, it was usually at the grocer's or saloon. Common places 4 pay notes to b spent. Those were safer bets back then where u didn't have 2 worry bout bein' cheated. Grocers and saloon cash those notes to the stagecoach who in turn took em to the bigger towns & cities that had the banks. Banks closing all the time claiming bankruptcy & taking the loot and hiding it where no one could find. Sometimes opening up banks halfway or all the way across country using said money to start new one.
