Charles Leclerc is the other guy, he's the team leader at Ferrari. Ferrari will probably keep this lineup for a long time, because they signed Leclerc at a young age, which Ferrari does not do often. Max and Carlos were teammates at the Red Bull junior team, Toro Rosso where they had basically identical performance. Carlos left after Max was chosen to move up to the big team, and Carlos made the rounds ending up driving for half the teams on the grid. Looking back it's clear that the Carlos/Max combination that the Red Bull program developed was the winning team to move up to the big team, as they've struggled to find a second driver for the last 3 years that would replace Danny or Carlos. His father, Carlos Sainz Sr. was a world famous rally driver in the 80's and 90's, but Carlos was too young to see him race much, so he got his racing inspiration from watching F1 and came over to this world instead.

Carlos Father wasn't a Formula 1 driver. He was a Rally Driver, also known by the name El Matador who won the Rally World Championship 2 times. Also he ment a Volkswagen Golf. Pretty sure you have many of those in the states ^^ Fun fact: Max Verstappen is actually the driver who made his F1 Debut the youngest, at only 17 years old. Most drivers make their debut around 20.

The whole name being ten seconds long thing isn't common in Spain at all, though there are some exceptions. Most of us have a first name, like everyone in America, but then we have two surnames. Usually our first surname is our father's first surname and our second surname is our mother's first surname. For example, it could be that your father's name is Javier Garrido Hernández and your mother's name is Andrea Olmo García. Then, your name would be So-and-so Garrido Olmo. Also, unlike in English-speaking countries, women don't usually adopt their husband's surnames in Spain when they get married.
