No better protection of teenage pregnancy than proper sex ed. I knew how easy it can be to get pregnant and the various ways, so I was over precautious, waited til it felt right, and never did it without condom AND pill. If you don't tell them at all, they'll just do what they think and what their friends tell them and that is usually a real shitty idea

@@firstlast-fr1le Actually there are four ways of having sex: intercourse, oral, anal, or skin on skin. Im pretty sure this is what was meant by "various ways". These all fall under the general term of sex. Also, yes, intercourse is the one sure way to get pregnant. However, if you're not careful skin on skin or anal can also lead to pregnancy. Much less likely but still a possibility.

I get that this show is a sign of the times in a comedy show. But realistically (my opinion as a parent) it's best to take the mystery out of it. If they have questions, they're not to young to have the information. And the more information they have the better equipped they'll be to make the right decisions when the time comes.

To help, they should explain the risks but encourage sex when they're married. For kids under 18, adults shld supervise kids on dates to prevent pregnancy etc. They should not encourage condoms etc. Sex ed should be for 18 and up. And the kids under 18 should be kept busy so they're not tempted to sin. Sex ed leads to more damage for teens.

I can understand why Missy never talks women stuff with her mother. She always acts high and mighty, as if she has the moral high ground. That is not how parenting works. Partially the reason why I don’t share a healthy, friendly adult kind of relationship with my mother either.

Exactly and instead of saying she should wait till marriage she should explain the risks of sex and tell her if they decide to do it before marriage they need to know ab protection, consent, STDs ect. I hate when parents push away questions of sex and just say to “ wait till marriage” my mom never told me to “wait till marriage” but she would never have anything positive to say ab sex, saying every single boy only wanted one thing and that I should be atleast 20 before I do anything. I also find that many moms especially from this time are extremely judgmental. Like other peoples sex lives aren’t your business! I wish parents would actually take time to explain than to push it away with a “ save it for ur husband”

Damn, why are they so uncomfortable with this topic? Even when they are talking with other adults? It's ridiculous. Especially when they all had sex before. They could have handled it a lot better, because them being uncomfortable doesn't make it more comfortable for the kids. Additionally, areas with little to no education about sex have a higher risk of teen pregnancies and even contracting STIs because they don't know how to protect themselves

@@musicallytalented16 actually she is, even though it’s unintentional. I do agree that people should wait for having sex, but most don’t wait for marriage to have sex.
