He has in my opinion one of the greatest character developments on the show. He was really struggling emotionally and hating himself and although that is of course no reason whatsoever to bully someone, i can kind of understand him. I am so glad that he was able to accept himself after some time because I know how difficult and sad it can be to hate oneself.

Even though I did major damage to my body and mind from drug abuse without a thought to co sequences, I don't mind it so much. I just find if strange. One of my favorite songs of all time. The tune, rhythm, meaning, and length are perfect. This song used to play on my favorite radio station about three years ago during a much better, simpler time. I wish I could go back to it, but listening to this, Sound of Winter, and Shake Me Down are as close as I get. Sadly, that radio station got shut down and replaced with a country station (like our 6th fuckin country station) so now we have no rock/alternative stations.

I've just heard this song for the 100th time. I clearly remember how Cough syrup caught my attention in 2012 and when I rediscovered it I felt so good. But just now I've really understood what the lyrics really mean, or at last to me. Just when you feel the same way you can realize how much pain is hidden in the song. Sometimes I feel lost and my head seems bumping to me, my thoughts are not clear and my heart beats like a damn drum, and I ask myself what I've done in my life and how bad will my future be. People around me don't notice it, but I feel broken. Then I get out of the blue but I know that when the sun sets everything is gonna come back. Maybe you can also feel everybody is judging you, the heartless zombies that don't understand pain and bad deep thoughts.

I first heard this song when it was a few years old and I was like 19. I’ll be 28 in 11 days. My, how the time has flown. Sitting in my virtual office my brain said “I’m waiting for this cough syrup to go down” and instantly I’m 19 again. Not old enough to be at a bar, so lost and scared. My god how far I’ve come. Here’s to 28 🎉

I recently lost my best friend, lost my family, my future plans are failing and the peoples i trust the most are telling me that I can never be good like them, they are telling me i can never be powerful like them. And here i am listening this song for the 200th time. I really don't know what to do but every time I hear "life is too short to even care at all" part I feel something deep down inside. Giving me strength to look at my way and move on. Thank you for this beautiful song. I hope things get better for me. (Sorry if i did wrong in grammer or something. English is not my mother tongue)

An ex took me to a concert for Incubus, dont remember the year, and these guys were the opening band. I offended my ex when i told him, "It should of been the other way around. I would of paid more to see Young The Giant play the rest of the night and Incubus be the opening band." I like both bands but Young The Giant performed with such heart and devotion. It stood out and left an impression for me since Incubus played like they were offended to be hosting at such a small venue. They looked unhappy to be there and didnt seem as devoted to their performance. I saw Incubus later at Sick New World 2023 and they did amazing but again they were performing for huge crowds. The performance of Young The Giant is forever a memory I keep fresh in my mind. Even though the concert hall wasnt a huge one, they performed like they were playing for the whole world.

I'm guessing the reasoning is that a lot of people like to point out that Young the Giant sounds like X or Y or Z or whatever, when in reality, they don't sound like X or Y or Z or whatever, they sound like themselves. He's pointing that out in a humorous way, at least that's how I interpreted it.
@wrkr9 жыл бұрын
Ninosław Ciszewski You seen it that way because you are a normal person who can think critically. I have no idea how that dude missed the obvious. I am guessing he's young. You posted at exactly 4:20 here on the West Coast. Impressive.

+Anthony Alexander (Ant the Rant) These guys grew up with Young the Giant and that is why they remind you of them. Its true they sound like them and all, but they really are someone else. They also have all of their cd's...I know...I'm one of them in real life...cough...cough...cough....see...?

I find the need to be grateful to be living right now where I have potential to improve from my mistakes and flaws, which everyone has, and know what I can want to do will be accomplished later on in life. Hope everyone sees a bright future in their lives because I am getting there! 😊

This song has affected me in so many ways that I can’t explain. There’s so much going on , my ex leaving , parents arguing , suicidal thoughts. I’ve never been such a mess in my life. And this song brings something out in me that no words can express what brings out . “Losing my mind losing my mind losing control” is what I’m feeling with my ex leaving me , I’m losing myself because of her , she saw me through my ups and downs. Now that she left I feel alone and without anyone. Had plans for the future and to realize she can possibly find someone new and restart her love life breaks me so much. If you’re reading this I hope you’re doing alright !

this song's melody makes me think about the color yellow whenever i hear it. a mustardy yellow that's just so happy and beautiful, it's one of my favourite colors. i created a playlist on Spotify called mustard yellow and i added this song in there, not paying that much attention to the lyrics, because the melody was just happy, like me. one day i was sad. i deal with mental health issues and that day was specially rough. and i heard this song. and i actually paid attention to the lyrics. and they're so blue. this dark, kinda teal blue, that is not too bright but not too opaque, just a sad, melancholic blue that just feels nice. that makes me want to swim in an ocean and get lost and just never come back. which is my first favourite color, right before yellow. i am a big music lover and I've never had, in my 22 years of life, a song that i could call my favourite. until now.
