Prime is doing some type of experiment on their drivers, something similar to social credit system in China, which is not a good thing, it's sort of like behavioral programming, on top of that the camera and microphone is very intrusive and you also got to think about the data that's be Collected on all their drives and what their doing with it, are they selling it or are they studying it and if so why ?

We just keep our curtains closed if we feel the camera will cut on, but our camera cuts off when we park and switch to off duty or sleeper. Only records when the truck is moving.

I don’t have faith that the discretion will be taken to ensure everyone’s privacy will remain protected. I personally feel that the cameras should only be activated when the truck is in motion. You can take your lease/purchase truck to another carrier but you need to pay 2 payments forward and get new carrier to agree to send success leasing weekly payments and success has to be paid 1st before any deductions and most companies will not agree to that what really leaves you not being able to move the truck

Inward facing cameras are one hundred percent of the time recording if the truck is running. They are gathering that information for self driving technology as well as anything to hold against you as a driver. Mega carriers have inhouse insurance meaning they have their own insurance. They are the insurance company.

UPS has driver facing cameras but the Teamsters Union got it so they cannot use any thing they see on camera for any disciplinary actions at all. If you aren't in a union then you are at their mercy of the company

Hey guys ❤❤🎉🎉 We work for Hogan and we have had inward facing camera since we started working with them August of 23. We worked for western Express and they also have inward cameras. If there is a hard break or too close to a vehicle it will document it, but the only time they give a "lennix" event is if you're on your phone, turn in front of a car, drowsy driving, looking away too long... but to be honest we've never had an issue. It films the whole time the truck is driving or as long as you're on duty. We have a button we can push to record a certain part of an event that we want reviewed to prevent a lennix event. We talk shyt all the time 😂😂😂 sometimes we say stuff or do stuff to mess with the safety people watching 😂😂😂😂. You guys stay safe, I enjoy your channel! Check ours out sometime ❤ Happy Monday 🎉🎉🎉

Self insured doesn't mean what you think. By law you still have to have an outside agency for documentation. Self insured only means they cover their own damage & liability. Meaning there still is a deductible to be paid,just won't raise their rates because they pay their own damages out of pocket. They cannot right their own Accord !

Is someone that has been in the insurance industry for well over a decade? I can understand why you feel that way about the cameras. However, those cameras can save hundreds of thousands if not millions because they provide proof if anything happens. Not only monetary value, but criminal charges as well. Video is better than a human testimony. I've had witness statements different from the video of what actually happened so many times is ridiculous. It's really funny how people add or subtract things when they tell their side of the story.

At JBHUNT we have inward facing cameras,they typically exonerated a few drivers,but if you distracted that’s not your job,they get triggered by an A.I sensitive feature that breaks it down your driving habits,if you reach out to staff while driving,and it distracts controlling the truck,it triggers the camera to intentionally record that part,though the camera runs normally,if you drive on the rumble strip for a while it triggers the camera to record..I don’t blame companies,I blame dmb @$$ drivers who been caught watching movies while driving,putting legs on the dashboard on cruise control..distracted driving.
