The video shows that corrosion of iron requires the presence of air (oxygen) and water. It also presents that rusting is faster in salty water.
Technology and tools: Videos were made in the laboratory, preparatory editing: Adobe Premiere, preparatory processing of photos: Adobe Photoshop, compositing and post-production: Adobe After Effect
What else we can do: Presentation of methods of metals protection against corrosion.

Rusting of iron required the presence of water and oxygen. The iron atoms will not spontaneously emit out their stationary electrons before turning into Fe(2+) cations. Water molecules within a droplet of water on an iron plate are constantly drifting. They drifting at higher velocities at higher temperatures. Dissolved oxygen molecules within the droplet of water are attached onto those drifting water molecules. Whenever the oxygen "atom" that adhered onto the drifting water molecule is slamming against a iron atom in effective collision, some electrons from the reacting iron atom will be transferred to the oxygen 'atom" before converting itself to oxygen anion of O(2-). This is how iron atoms has been oxidized within the droplet of water. Subsequently, such O(2-) anion colliding with a water molecule will convert to two hydroxide anions or 2OH(-). Fe(2+) that "reacts" with two hydroxide anions to form Fe(OH)2. Subsequently, another OH(-) anion reacts with Fe(OH)2 to form Fe(OH)3. Finally, when two Fe(OH)3 slamming against one another before forming a crystal of Fe2O3.3H2O which is the rust of iron. The water droplet also contains some hydrogen cations or H(+). When the iron atom reacts with the slamming oxygen "atom", some dissipated electrons from the reacted iron atom will be dispersed within the iron atoms. Whenever the drifting hydrogen cations or H(+) are slamming against the iron plate, they will mop up some excess electrons from the iron plate before reducing to hydrogen gas or bubbles that adhered onto the iron plate. At least now we understand how rusting process takes place within a droplet of water that adhered onto an iron plate. The current of understanding of how rusting iron takes place is not accurate or slightly wrong. If you are interested in real discoveries, I would recommend you to read my book, The Unification Theory - Volume One and you will be amazed with lots of new, interesting discoveries. In God I trust.

for some reason, i tried submerging nails in salt water, tap water , and bleach but after 3 days, the nail in the salt water solution is the least affected. the same is repeated to my other schoolmates. any reasons for this? 200ml of water and 12.7 grams of rock salt for the salt water solution. am i missing something?
