Can you break it down for me? Cause when I listened to the lyrics I didn't understand how this related to the title "slave owner" except its a metaphor for whips. The lyrics are still talking bout poppin pills & fuckin bitches though. I didn't hear anything about oppression

Not so fast though. Because whenever an artist upload their music via VEVO accounts best believe Major Record Labels are getting a piece of the action it doesn't matter whether you are independent or not. VEVO is owned by Sony Music, Universal Music and Warner Music. These m-therfuckers are slick and are finessing the artists without even knowing it. If you upload music directly to your OWN channel without using VEVO you will make more money period! Especially if you are an established artist.

Just when I thought the video was only meant to be humorous, the director throws in the key element of the video. 360 deals and how it basically makes today’s artist a slave of his own work. Perfect timing in dropping this video with all the Kayne West riff raff going on.

Most of your favorite rappers signed those 360 deals and now they are slaves. I love how Dolph put that Minister Farrakhan snippet in the song. Rap is supposed to teach the youth not misguide the youth.
