Younger Actor - Chandler Massey

Chandler Massey’s performance was so real, showing the agony some young men feel when coming to grips with their true self. It was moving and very powerful and deservedly won the actor three consecutive Daytime Emmys. The fact that he’s back and the writers have allowed the character to grow, get married, have a child and become an well rounded adult (within the boundaries of Daytime drama, of course) says mountains for both the show and the actor. Deirdre Hall’s performances Marlena wasn’t too shabby either.

This scene was flawless. Chandler Massy in this scene is everything I could ever want from a scene like this. His fear, his distress, his desperation is palpable. And it's something every gay person has had to deal with at some point in time. I remember that feeling like it was yesterday, and Chandler captured it with such raw, impeccable honesty that you'd think he knew what it was like. When he breaks down begging Marlena to just tell him what to do... those Emmy's were WELL deserved.

He is such a brilliant actor. I feel like he is living my life. The process of "coming out" is probably the a huge struggle. Especially at a young and vulnerable age. Chandler is an amazing actor. Especially since he is straight and plays the struggling guy coming to terms of his sexuality. This may be the best performance of the whole series.

Are you sure she was just acting? That might have been a genuine moment of emotion from her because of the power of his performance and she's skilled enough to turn it into a subtle bit of acting.
