Hi, i have the same swing on my front porch. I put a pillow for my back but have had it for a year and it gets wet and still holds up great. My husband put it up, wasn't easy but so worth it.

Put down a top coat for sure and wait 7 days for the floors to cure. There is a Valspar floor sealant. You are so smart to not rush the process. I hope my sons meet a young lady that is about her business like Kayla. Loving what you're doing! Take care.

When you're at the paint store, ask about a sealer for the paint on your floor. That will take care of the problem.

2 coats and then a polyurethane seal. This will prevent any paint scratches. You’re a joy to watch.

You don’t need a second coat, just do touch ups, you need to seal it with a sealant. Love it so far.

Just a simple suggestion to fix your swing chairs. Twist the bolts 90° so your chairs face the movie screen. Love how it looks. Great job!

There's a sealant that you should use. It's the same thing people who paint the garage floor use. That way you'll be able to clean the floors over time as well

I am glad that I watched the video all the way through, when I saw you moving the chairs around, I was wondering if you sealed the floors so that the chairs wouldn't scratch the floors. I didn't realize that the chairs would stick to the floors. But it looks good. You have accomplished so much in less than a year!!! I can't wait for the Wednesday upload.

Yes!! Painting your doors and trim black will look amazing, Kayla! What are your plans for the large window between your living/family room and your sunroom? I believe using the same black color on the window trim and molding will frame the window nicely. Plus, doing so will extend your beautifully decorated home aesthetic to your sunroom. Still, regardless of what you and Marcus decide, your space will be FANTASTIC!! I can't wait for my "Wednesday fix". :)

Yes to painting the door black. Dining table should be three on each side and two at either end. You need arm space for those eating at the table. If the space is too tight, just leave the two chairs off to the side until you need them. Loving your style!

Hey Kayla! I was thinking your window curtains should be 2 layers to block sun in the summer & keep in warmth in during the winter months. One layer can be a sheer white and the accent curtain can be like a boho Moroccan theme with tassles and a hint of Gold! Accent pillows on the couch, runner on the table, maybe a couple of poufs, gold serving tray, huge plants in the corner, & maybe a hanging plant as well, candles.... I think you see where I am going! 💜

If you would like the swings to face front towards your projector. Adjust your hooks a bit. Also add a bit of rubber peice to keep it steady. So cute!

The sealer suggestion came from me… So sorry you have to redo the floor but you’ll be happy you took the time. I live in Georgia too and work by flipping furniture. The humidity here during the summer is crazy and makes curing time for paint and top coat take twice as long. When you repaint, wait three days then do the top coat and wait another 5-7 days before you put anything on it. If you have a dehumidifier, put that on the porch for a few days to aid in drying and cure time and leave the ceiling fans on. It’s coming along very nicely! 💕✌🏼
