Before renting a booth I had already so many tools and products that it was a overwhelming feeling when I started. The pain of it all was the ( time ) to label and swatching all the polishes including gel, prepping and counting what I had utilize to work with. It was well worth it in the end when getting paid but I totally agree with you guys. You can never have all colors! I have over 300 polishes/gels and clients would still think about what colors they wanted 😔

Another option to not have to have too many different colors of polish is the fact that you can mix colors to get a "perfect" shade for someone who just has to have a color you do not have on hand... You can make any color with just 5 basic colors (red, yellow, blue, black, white) and a color wheel... make any color a bit lighter with some white. darker with some black...etc...

I have 2 pinks, 2 whites & a clear acrylic powders I only have 1 pink, 1 white & a clear in gel. I just do like a natural look nail or a french, then mainly use nail varnish for art or a normal painted nail. I also have many colours of glitter that I mix with gel or acrylic powder for that bit of sparkle. I have crystals, foils & other types of decoration for nails as well as stamping. Where I live in the UK, people want fairly simple nails. I experiment with mine to tempt people to be more adventurous. 😊💅💖😘

I've noticed that there's people out there correlating "certification" and "licensing" as the same thing too... "Certification" means you've been trained for a particular skill set...but it does not mean you can charge and work on client nails, hair, face etc without a license... A license" is where you've met the required hours of training on not only beauty applications with training on anatomy and identifying potential diseases and how to keep your area stateboard standard, then tested and passed...this is when you can work in salons and pick up clientele etc... I've had girls tell me they are certified and are accepting clients and they thought that's all they needed....and they don't have a State issued license to do so... I always warn them that if something were to happen they could be fined and if a client was upset about thier service they could potentially report you too...
