I love this song so much. I bought this piano sheet for my daughter to learn to play the piano when she was a small girl. Thirty years has passed. My daughter becomes a composer now. Thank God. This is really a great song and Whitney was an awesome singer. Love her forever💜❤

""The Greatest Love of All" is one of the best, most powerful songs ever written about self-preservation, dignity. Its universal message crosses all boundaries and instills one with the hope that it's not too late to better ourselves. Since, Elizabeth, it's impossible in this world we live in to empathize with others, we can always empathize with ourselves. It's an important message, crucial really. And it's beautifully stated on the album."- Patrick Bateman

The importance is Who is Learning? The song points out it is easy. Children can't learn from what they can't see. It is well to have and be Grateful for 4:56 self dependent and being Grateful to have Life even in bad situations. You will succeed, even when you fall down, self determination in standing comes through. Encourage Yourself even if no one else will.

It's too empowering if you really understand it. Those looking to spiritually, mentally, and physically enslave us can't allow that. Only shame and blind acceptance of false authority gives them power. If you love yourself and ALL 'others' as brothers and sisters (not limited by 'race' or 'species' or whatever 'divides' us in hierarchical 'classes' with different ethics on how to treat or exploit them), we know who 'god' is, and that it is all of us, and by extent we know who the devil is. It is also in all of us, but we have a choice who to follow, or to become leaders of free will or masters and bosses in coercion, manipulation, extortion... I have been living by that idea since forever, and guess what, they labeled me with 'autism spectrum disorder', 'invalid' they call it where I live, to 'validate' that I refuse to be a 'human resource' in a destructive machine. It made me go 'vegan' and 'straight edge' and 'anarchist' without really being familiar with those terms and their meaning before. Today this song popped up in my mind, and despite not having heard it in many years, and never knowing the lyrics, suddenly I knew them by heart, looked it up, and cried like a baby. After decades of conflicts with 'authorities' and not knowing anyone alive that 'fulfills my needs' (everyone that does has been killed by authorities, directly or indirectly), now I know everyone is capable of understanding it, when Whitney Houston sings it.

As i am listening to this song now, i have realized that as i was growing up i have never walked on anyone's shadow and no matter what they take from me they can't take away my dignity because i have great love not just for myself but also for everyone. WOW, Whitney Houston was blessed with a beautiful voice that could carry a message throughout the world. I've listened to this song for many years but listening today (7/1/2023) gave me an opportunity to see it from two perspectives, God's & mine, and mine was deceptive! The hero I know I should have been looking for all along is God. I only needed to look to Him. He is the ONLY ONE who can fulfill my needs and not man. He's the ONLY ONE I can depend on and not man. After all the trials and disappointments in life, we can ALWAYS LOOK TO HIM. I choose to believe that Whitney experienced this revelation in her life before her demise. She even sang a song as her testament to Him called "I Look to You." God is forever faithful and loving. He is an awesome Father! I thank Him for allowing my eyes to be opened to His great love for my life. 💖

This songs remind of my cousin, he used to sing this during Karaoke while me starring on my own sorrowful feelings, despite me being neglect cuz of my anxiety that can't let me socialise and be more open with them. But now, he's my inspiration for being that charismatic and quite entertainly funny. Instead, he still knew i face instrusive moment that time. Then as a sudden, he sang this song wondering if this songs can inspire a lot without him wondering how i feel abt it. And now, he passed away weeks ago. That memory can't vanished, it still sustain in my head 😢. RIP IN PEACE PAUL MATTHEW 🌷🌷🌷(dear cousin). Learn to self-love too 💜💜💜 Edit: Mistakes me, i can't arrange my sentence clearly.
