(I LOVE Nasty C) but ive also seen Youngsta CPT do a real freestyle...OMW!!!! he was actually brilliant at school with poetry....FACT. my son loves his music so much,in Canada on a holiday,we went to a wedding,and there they had an open mic/Karaoke part of the evening. with a good few South Africans in attendance,he sang Ben Ten by Early B,then asked for Youngsta's CPT song. they didnt have it. he did it acapela,some who knew cape coloured slang to be precise and who were from SA,went buckwild!!!!! and the english part that those who understood,still went buckwild!!!!! now a lot of our SA family there are now streaming and playing his music!!!! a lot of "black/white" people dont know his music cause he doesnt get the airtime on all the mainstream radio stations. also with cape coloured slang, a lot of people dont understand it. yet we as coloureds,we listen to it all,afrikans rap,kwesta,etc. not every song,and there is the punchline. only certain commercially viable songs are played on air. it is time we step back,embrace music from all sectors of SA. not just cause they black or white or coloured. but listen to the actual talent out there. it freaks me out that these record labels continue to brainwash our minds with other garbage. i ask you to look at a video by a guy,Teddy Swims,he does MJ's rock with you(he never will be MJ)but listen to his voice,his interpretation ,outstanding,and to make things more interesting,he is white and looks strange. and this issue of record labels pushing who they want to be in the top of the charts,is a world wide issue. many talented or more talented artists are being overlooked for a guy/gal who already has made it. when the fact is there 10times more talented artists out there than the big superstars. i urge you to look around,go to open mic sessions,local concerts,they are there...waiting. sadly some never will make it which is a shame. we are far too brand orientated as South Africans,go left field....dont follow,lead! and this is why i love Youngsta's music. great performer and artist!! just open your minds a little more,lets lead the way,cross the norm,barriers,thats how we got our freedom, which we will never have if we as South Africans CONTINUE TO FOLLOW THE WORLD. STOP RAPE,ABUSE OF KIDS AND OUR WOMEN,VIOLENCE OF ALL TYPES,LOVE ONE ANOTHER DESPITE RACE OR CREED,WE CAN DO THIS AND MUSIC IS ONE OF THE BEST TOOLS TO DO SO! ONE LOVE JA ALL!!!
