There is an important variable you didn't add to the formula... It happens when you have an Xa algorithm and a Xb algorithm, when you start those algorithms at the same orientation, the recognition time is faster than starting those algorithms with different orientations (because you know the orientation is the same, so you can simultaneously orientate your last layer and see wich case it is)
@thijsbeentjes40084 жыл бұрын

@garyromero83523 жыл бұрын
@@early2exit technically the algometer isn't a computer operated system... It's basically just telling you if an alg is slower than other based on certain properties of an alg. For example, hard regrips, move count, etc. This algometer is basically taking in input on things that will make an alg slower and telling you how long it would take to exectute at it's fastest. In fact you don't even need the algometer to tell if you if an alg is particularly bad, all you need to do is count the things that will make an alg bad.

Hm, this formula seems to work for already "polished" algorithms / in certain scenarios. But e.g. a sledgehammer (R' F R F') would get the same score as a T1/sexy move (R U R' U'), as would the hedgeslammer (F R' F' R). But they're not equally fast unless you regrip and and do the F'/F with your left index and regrip back up (except if the alg ends) - which is even slower overall and also gets a worse score. And the hedgeslammer is never as fast as the T1. I'm currently working on an alg-set with KubeSolver and AlgExplorer and I get a lot of these motifs, as well (F U F') etc. and that's even slower - even if there are no regrips, so they would get the same score as (R U R'). An extreme example would be (M U M) getting the same score. So there seem to be other factors, especially push vs. pull moves and reverse corner-cutting issues.
@ahshhddhhdhdhdhdshehe29052 жыл бұрын
I agree sexy moves are faster than sledge hammer but people do sledgehammer with their thimb to finish the last f moves or left index finger and left index doesn't need a regrip u just put you pinky underneath the s slice and do the F' moves normally so some people can do sledgehammer really fast and almost as fast as sexy moves and for F U F' u have to put either ur index or thumb at the F layer to do the F moves so I guess u can count that as overwork(place ur finger to the correct position is essentially the same as overwork) or a regrip so that's explain F UF' is slower than R U' R' and M U M has overwork with the M moves and regrip to get ur fingers at the M slice so that's why it's slower and non of them is related to corner cutting or reverse moves so ur conclusion is wrong Hope this makes sense to you

4:42 My Nb Perm Doesn't have a Regrip. Along with my J, F and T perm, I stick my right thumb to the edge piece so I can execute the F R and U moves and keep my thumb in home grip and I can transition to doing an F without a regrip

The way you shred that man's alg through the algometer and give the fattest thumbs down just makes my day for some reason.

bruh i know i’m late but that algorithm on the thumbnail is almost the EXACT algorithm i like messing with and trying to do it in very fast times

J Perm, this is game changing, but I've been using these A perms for 10 months now, I'm just not popular enough to spread the message haha xD Nice vid!

It’s actually pretty easy to do y perm regripless without your method with using the standard alg

In the end of the day it all comes down to every cubers hand that are not the same so we just need to find more and more algs we are comfort with.

to have good algs just watch jperm and u be set. sometimes when one of my friends has a bad alg i ask where they learned it they never say jperm

When should i learn full PLL? And if I know a bad version of u-perm, should I learn a better one directly or wait until I know more of the other algorithms?
@Ayo-ws6eu4 жыл бұрын
Well i learned full PLL at SUB-40 so you should learn it whrn at that level

If you don't know F2L yet learn it after full PLL then do full OLL. That was my order of learning
@AdeptWitherhoard4 жыл бұрын
I do 2 look pll, and am currently working on learning full pll. I know that it is really easy to memorize the M move u-perms, so if you want to learn those, it won’t take you more than a few days to get pretty good at them.
