over the past 20 hrs i have gone thru gut wrenching agony trying to deal with how to best handle this video... I tried commenting on the negative comments about my hat, to spending almost 4 hours trying to blur out the logo in an attempt to make it not so impactful on so many that it seemed to be affecting..(it messed so many parts of the video up, the software didn't track properly in many parts.. so I'm removing the blur) then the hate for censoring the logo starting coming.. do I delete the dam video,, that's not fair to the MANY who are enjoying it.. so I'm NOT deleting it. and ill say this, YOU DO NOT DEFINE A PERSONS entire personality and beliefs based off the logo on a base ball cap.. first off,, the hat was given to me by a close friend! I wear it because of the American flag part of it... I ALSO believe in law and order so I never imagined from some of my own viewers i would be accused of everything from "being a boot licker" to literally hearing "maybe he should say in his deep voice that slavery was not that bad"!!!! ALL FROM A HAT! that was worn simply because my hair was a mess and there was NO thought put into what was on the front.. no political statement, it could have as easily been my Mopar hat or my Under Armour hat that i was wearing at the time of recording. So those of you saying disgusting, racist, vile things towards me should look deeply INTO YOURSELVES. I have worked hard to make my content varied, funny, tingly, relaxing interesting and neutral to ALL for 6 years. i will not apologize for wearing a hat... i expect those of you who have written your foul insinuations about me, to apologize to me! to those of you who are here for the intended purpose of the channel i apologize TO YOU for having to be put you through all this unnecessary drama.. I don't think the camera can find any contrasting edges to find the right focal distance with. A little history. That's not a blue lives matter hat, that's a "Thin Blue Line Flag" on a hat, which has all sorts of negative undertones. Doesn't matter if I agree with them, but the thin blue line was a concept of brotherhood in the police force of not breaking the thin blue line. If an officer saw his partner beat up a suspect for no reason, he would be expected to keep quiet as to not cross the thin blue line. Like all symbols, over the years it changed meaning and just became more of an all around "support the police" message, but with the rise of videos and KZbin e posing a lot police violence and incidents, the symbol changed from. " support the police" to, "I side with the police" in an obvious feud between BLM and 1A auditors. So today when people see it they assume it's racist, some veterans get mad also because the US code book for the flag says that you can not put the flag on clothing other than military uniforms, and you can not alter the appearance of the flag (like by putting a blue stripe in it). So depending on when you grew up, the symbol may represent something different entirely. I understand the need to be cognizant of the history of what you are wearing when you have a vast following, but also people who look at this in context and have watched dr. T SHOULD realize he has ZERO ill intent. I get it though
