Mushrooms are very medicinal. This is why anybody familiar with psilocybin and any other kind of fungi will tell you, "They are alive." They have a very ancient wisdom. To my experience, all mushrooms have always said, "Pay attention to your life. How you think, how you feel, and what will you do with the information that you always knew, but now are seeing in this point of view." This is why mushrooms are so respected in tribal cultures. This mental health treatment works for me too. Half micro doses do the trick for me. At least a few days at a time with lengthy time in between. Thank you for sharing this point!

I was horrifically depressed since childhood. It was relentless. I assumed it would ultimately end me somehow. About twelve years ago I randomly accepted the offer from a friend of a few doses of mushrooms. I did them two consecutive nights alone. First night was pretty mild. The second night? Wow. I saw my depression from every angle, realized much. Next day: depression totally gone. Never came back, never coming back. It's like it's a forest far away I can remember, and could probably find again with enough effort, but it has zero impact on anything in my life or mind. They honestly saved my life and improved it immensely. I never did them again, either. I wish there was a good, organized way to administer them to people who would benefit from them.

I knew vomiting was common, then the Shaman said it's also possible to diarrhea, I was oh hell no 😖 I'm gonna be that one to have number 2 all night lmao. However I was so grateful to have just projectile vomit out my nose two times. The thing is you feel soooo much better and it's almost like you're ridding of the negative energy, trauma, experiences etc. Not like usual throwing up where you feel sick afterwards. I was lucky to be in the most beautiful remote jungle on a mountain with a very hardworking Shaman and group of people. I was with people from all around the world who planned and came to this ritual to heal. I can also see and have heard how it is very capable of helping others struggling with addiction. I live in a "legal" state and although there are some legal benefits to people that use cannabis, it is far from being "legal". You cannot grow your own cannabis and give it to friends or family, because that is illegal distribution. Cannabis has just been further regulated, monopolized and taxed by the state government, and goes under the guise of "legalization". It is false. Ayahuasca is already legal, there's no need to "legalize" it. The only reason people would want to create dispensaries for ayahuasca, is to profit off of this medicine.

The dude from the video got his facts WRONG. There are two different types of DMT. Ayahuasca has DMT which is physically COMPLETLY SAFE. It's the other source of the medicine that can kill you (5meo-DMT). It can be extracted from the skin of a Colorado River toad... and is usually smoked. You can also extract the dmt from some plants yourself, BUT than you can acidentally make yourself 5meodmt powder which is the ONLY CAUSE of POTENTIAL DEATH while using dmt ;) Again, ayahuasca is safe in terms of physical health :)

This drug has been used by million of people and the very few who died (extremely small %) died from taking way too much than the recommended dose and lost touch with reality and accidentally kill themselves. It's physically impossible to overdose on Ayahuasca. Too lazy to cite sources but you can easily find it on Google. Peace

Probably the deaths are due to heart attacks in peoples with heart problems (DMT is an adrenaline agonist causing very high blood pressure and BPM). That is actually a myth. There is currently no scientific evidence that DMT is produced endogenously within our brains/bodies. DMT has been been found to be produced in many species of mammals, but still no evidence with humans.

dmt is made in our lungs in our retinas and is recieved and maybe made in our pineal glands which is our third eye, and did you know in all reptiles the pineal gland has a cornea a retina and a lens which are all tools which make our eyes work, ours dont have any of that instead our pineal gland has rods and cones which are also tools which make our eyes work.

***** Dude it's proven to be in our bodies, and we've found evidence in rats that their pineal glands produce DMT, so there's no reason as to why we wouldn't as well. Stop the nonsense. www.cottonwoodresearch.org/dmt-pineal-2013/
@Caarve8 жыл бұрын
I get what you are saying, but "So there's no reason as to why we wouldn't as well" is not a scientific or factual statement. We cannot assume that we are equal to rates. Just look at us as a species. Sure we are similar to some animals, but overall, we Humans are drastically different from all other animals. Maybe in the future we will find more evidence, but for now there is no evidence that Humans produce DMT in the Pineal glands.

there have been very FEW deaths that could be attributed to Ayahuasca and they were iffy situations, this brew has been consumed for literally thousands of years, if people died wouldn't they have stopped? A proper trip with a real shaman will very easily bring enlightenment and peace from within and , at least in my case, taking it is one of the best decisions I ever made (Helped me cure from depression and addictions) Removing the barriers imposed by our own brains (partially there thanks to the spiritually void education we receive) and getting to understand one-self and their surroundings will simply let you understand not only your own feelings but the ways in which you are connected to every other living thing out there and change your outlook on many things

Interesting. Because i’ve had some intense shrooms trips and cid trips. I always thought DMT would be stronger and i’ve only ever smoked it a couple times but didn’t really trip just light visuals when i’d close my eyes and there were patterns all over the walls in my room. That was about it for me

i've tried DMT in plenty of different forms, but never ayahuasca.... my favorite is 5-MeO-DMT you go from exhaling the smoke to another dimension in a few seconds flat, trip balls for about 20 minutes or so, followed by an incredibly euphoric and mellow come-down. it really does feel like waking up from a beautiful dream. (pro tip: never smoke 5-MeO-DMT while drunk, unless you would like to see your stomach contents on the floor.)

emphasis on "can"! Psychedelics have the power to alter your mind, thoughts and feelings in certain (or uncertain) ways, which can easily be the first and/or last step in "curing" addiction, depression or whatever it might be. Of course it also has the potential to do the opposite, or anything else really, in theory... its up to you what you make of it, to some degree at least.

On Ayahuasca however its common to be forcefully taken to a whole unlike our own. No idea what Ayahuasca your talking about but its not the right one...

Gissy Moon I’m glad you had a good experience with it. I didn’t. It’s been three years since I had my ayahuasca ceremony and I’m still dealing with the spirit that entered my body during the ceremony. The first whole year I had trouble with sleep and couldn’t turn the light off at night. I felt like I was going insane. I was scared to go to sleep because my body would start to move like a snake anytime I started to close my eyes. And if I fall asleep, I would wake up at around 12:30am and became fully awake instantly and found my limbs moving on there own. It felt like my whole body my skin turned into a snake. I would see faces on the wall. Anyway it was hell. And three years later I’m still dealing with it but able to cope with now. Anyway, wishing you the best.

@@wasbtf I've read somewhere on the internet about a case of someone who took DMT and contacted an entity that wanted to enter his body. His name is Rogdog. He also has a clip of a podcast from a radio station that interviewed Alex Grey, a famous DMT artist, about contacting wrathful spirits while on DMT trips. Rogdog stated that he threatened the entity away so that it didn't enter his being. I hope you do well fending off that entity though. Maybe a shaman can help you? The shaman probably failed to protect you from negative spirits that can interfere and enter your trip. Wishing you well!

jose guerrero The deaths are due to people having SSRI or other antidepressant medications in their system, and they get Serotonin Syndrome because of the mixing with the vine(MAOI). The other reason why people die, is because of the people that make the Ayahuasca with 5-MeO-DMT instead of N,N-DMT. 5-MeO-DMT is safe when smoked, but not in an Ayahuasca brew because it's way more potent than N,N-DMT and when it is held in the body due to the MAOI the blood-plasmid levels rise to lethal levels. Most shamans are using N,N-DMT. If you're not sure, you can bring a reagent test kit and test the shit before even ingesting it. The kits are not expensive. And of course as I mentioned previously, make sure all antidepressant medications are WAY out of your system.

It's likely that they died because of "fake shamans" that are more common now because it's a booming tourist trend. I think it's because of consuming MAOI inhibitors and then not adjusting your diet or combining it with certain prescription anti-depressant drugs , therefore causing serotonin syndrome and killing them. Arghhh I was going to make a science video about this (and have some first hand experience of it as it is taken by those in the Amazon - you do get some audio hallucinations when the effect begins - lots of buzzes :) ) For anyone, if you ever decide to take it, make sure it is with a legit shaman who will ensure you stay safe, and that you're not taking antidepressants and certain other medications which can and will interact with them - it is very important to stay safe. :D
@luvyou-baby8 жыл бұрын
ive heard many stories of ppl on Ayahuasca saying they were walking and doing things, but then at the end they realize they were just sitting where they were the whole time just tripping. is there a chance for a person to actually be walking around and not not realizing it and hurt themselves?
@DrawCuriosity8 жыл бұрын
Kind of. When you take it, the first hour or two is very intense and you feel very dizzy, so you actually won't be able to physically move without falling over most likely. This is why a shaman and/or someone to watch and care for you is very important, because you could hurt yourself. I'd daresay it can be almost more dangerous as it is wearing off, because you are still in an altered state of mind, but are no longer horizontally-bound. Each person reacts differently though, and the visions are like dreams, and they are stronger with your eyes closed - so if you open them, it slowly blows a little bit of real life sense into you. :)
@luvyou-baby8 жыл бұрын
Draw Curiosity thank you for the reply! do you have any tips for someone who doesnt have a choice and has to do it alone? i get that its dangerous but still i would love to know
@DrawCuriosity8 жыл бұрын
I would never advise anyone to do it alone. Many people would describe taking Ayahuasca as a special event, and there's plenty of time - if now isn't the right time, I think it would be best to wait until you can have someone knowledgeable who can take care of you and make sure you're safe. Especially if you've never done it before, you don't know how you may react. If it is the one you drink, you throw up and you lose your balance. DMT can also have negative reactions with MAOI, antidepressants, people with heart problems and schizophrenia, and you have to make sure you've eaten the right things on the day such as no dairy (which unfortunately the video makes no mention of!). Therefore, from the perspective of enjoying the experience as much as possible, as well as staying safe, I think you absolutely should have someone who knows what they are doing, and at the very least, a friend who isn't taking it.
@luvyou-baby8 жыл бұрын

these drugs are not meant to be taken for a good trip or to have a good time. On a low dose you might see some fun things and you can stay who you are and have a good time with your friends. Just around the corner though lays an entire non physical realm you can enter and by doing so you leave yourself behind. Psychedelics are meant to mentally heal you and to give you knowledge. They are better described as difficult, scary, healing or just super interesting. A low those is fun and a lot of people have tried this where they just hag out with a couple of friends, have a bear and take some shrooms. There is nothing wrong with that though.

You guys were a bit off on the vine part. Banisteriopsis Caapi is very much psychoactive on it's own, as it contains harmala alkaloids. Also, most people that use any psychedelic, including shrooms and LSD, are doing it for reasons of personal growth. It's actually very difficult to use psychedelics for fun

Ayahuasca is an inteligent being. You only vomit if you don't want to process and look at your trauma. I took Ayahuasca alone like 15 times since the start of december and i only vomited once. Believe me it's not an acidic drink at all.

A lot of what he said about Ayahuasca is also said by researchers to some extent about LSD and Magic mushrooms. Psilocybin is sometimes also taken for people dealing with serious depression, changing the default mode. However, people tend to associate somewhat more as a party drug whereas no one associates Ayahuasca with that. Magic mushrooms are also involved neurogenesis. The way the speaker talked about Ayahuasca was as if mushrooms didn't do that, as well. I have a lot of respect for Ayahuasca, but this video is not completely balanced, but it's informative, none-the-less.

Ayahuasca has a very strong and clear voice. Certainly not just a reflection of the sounds in your environment, although the big momma does connect you to what you can hear in the nature around you.

in some countries it's legal since you take it in religious centers that moderate the amount you're gonna drink,you can't drink it out of these centers .It's not a proper religion,actually a place where you learn to live your life in a good way and accept your past. Usually they make sessions where about 30 people drink it while listening to teachings about life in general. I'm only 15 and it helped me out a lot. I've been drinking it since I was 12 and it's completely safe in moderated quantity,and it won't generate dependency.
