Exactly, I changed after 50 years my picks to a big Stubby Triangle 1,5 mm from Jim Dunlop and learned myself a complete new technique of fast picking with less movements. Btw I am playing 9.5 to 44 Ernie Ball.

What do you mean, please? Hugh Laurie? Laurie Wisefield, Wishbone Ash? For me playability comes first. To be honest, mostly I play without amp to concentrate on technique. I am not playing in a band anymore, I am 71! Btw what an equipment you got for doing your great sound?
