Will is a good example of a human being. I had people destroy my mind for no reason. All they had to do was stop. No one could get their finger out of their ass, and make the call. I don't see how you live righteously after this kind of bitter injustice. You are a better man than I am Will.

Willy, Old film, but it's the first time it showed up on my watch list. I'm the guy with Muscular Dystrophy. I know exactly what it feels like to be told "there is no cure". I don't know if I'll ever fully "accept" it. Because, it's slowly robbed me of everything. I grew up extremely athletic with a dream to be a SEAL or Special Forces at the least. It was my dream. I was the kid that had recruiters following him around high-school. I was told there was an elevated enzyme in my blood work that lead to me being removed from all athletic programs at school, and undeniably being told you are "unfit to serve". Even though I was physically able at the time and I would have gladly given my life for my country. I chose to follow a girl to church. I then got a job as an electrician, thinking "I'll show these f***ers! I can do this." I was an electrician for twelve years for an amazing boss who bent over backwards to keep me working until one day, it began to progress out of nowhere. I started to stumble, trip, and fall. I was becoming too exhausted to finish work days. But, still he kept me. He began to take me fishing, hunting, and camping. He would intentionally find jobs at lakes, to work half a day, and fish the rest. What I didn't know was, he was spending all of his money along with me. He knew I wouldn't have a retirement and had studied up on my disease. So, he decided to retire with me. He told me, "I told you when we started working to never become friends with your employees, and I broke that rule. Working with you, and watching you bust your ass to be nobody, made me want to live, and you looked like you needed to live more than you needed to work. So, is it alright if I call you my friend?" He died last fall. I think about him from time to time when I'm too weak to get out of bed, or when I fall down. He spent his retirement on me, or with me. But, he showed me that there's more to life than what most people think. Most of are dreams are really that, just dreams. Is it just chance that I stumbled across your channel, or is it divine intervention? I can't beat Muscular Dystrophy, not with the most positive attitude in the world. It's a genetic mutation in my body. It would take a miracle. But, I can take this thing 10 rounds and not let it knock me out. I'm not strong enough to do many things. I'm barely strong enough to dress myself and sometimes need help with that. But, God willing, I will pray for you. I will give you whatever strength I have left. Because in the end, it is about how we lived, not about how we died.

Hey mate I know it’s an old video. I was still serving as a Medic when I first started following your journey years ago. It fucking breaks my heart to hear this story. I took so much pride in my job and passion in helping and looking after my guys. I ended up psyching out I couldn’t go to one more suicide. It’s hard as a medic as they’re not just patients they’re your fucking mates your cutting down off the rope. I got tired of fighting against the system of joint health command. When I was posted to an operational unit I had so much more control of providing primary health care. It shames me as a Medic to watch this mate. I hope you know some us are professionals and have it everything until we burnt out.

As much as it wouldn't have been hard for you and still is, no one can really comprehend what you went and are going through until they have been in your shoes. I agree the statement that your mum made is one that would be so heartfelt as a mums love is unconditional. :) Sounds like a good series.

Hey mate, unfortunately this is something i have experienced myself in the Australian public medical system. It's especially terrible in your situation where it unfortunately has costed your life, the beaucracy of the various departments involved and the incompetence is just disheartening and it makes me reckon where all the funding goes and why is stuff not being done about it. It's absoloutley gut wrenching to think that you had to go through this situation and that it resulted in this IDK how you continue to remain so positive throughout it.

Sorry to hear this mate. Deeply saddens me and your tough to say the least. I had meningitis at Kapooka in my last week, 5 days in hospital and almost died, lost 11kg in those 5 days and was too weak to March out the day after I discharged from hospital but that didn’t stop them from sending me to the Infantry. I’m proud as punch I made it but looking back now the damage it caused not worth it. I had wished things had changed a little and they would start looking after their people but obviously nothing has changed. I subscribed and look forward to the stories.

No one seems to ever "do their job" or take responsibility. Honesty is almost unheard of! Doctors need to be honest with what is going on with a person and then let that person make/help make decisions about the medical care they want to go through! Why not!?? Also, I love your scenic videos...beautiful land and sea. I wish for you all the best.

Never accept DVA's original decision, they will always deny responsibility. You need to take it to the veteran's review board. The only thing is DVA is notorious for drawing things out with needless medicolegal appointments and mind-numbing bureaucracy that defies common sense and decency for our veterans. Just never give up.
