Lots of little girls, me & my daughter included, never experience the loving, caring touch of their father, so the first male touch is from someone who wants to take from them. I want to shout out Yvette for partnering with a man who wants to do the work of being a girl dad.

My dad passed away when I was 23, he was only 45. Im not much of a talker, but with him I could just ramble about anything and everything. He would just sit and listen. My introvert heart appreciated it, even more now that he’s longer here. I say all of this to say, your presence is enough. Even if you feel like y’all aren’t connecting, I promise you you being there is enough.. ❤❤❤❤

When I was around Anaya's age, I started to bug my dad whenever he was doing anything with tools around the house or yard. I was always asking to help out even though I knew that he would much rather do it by himself, but he always gave me some small task and showed and explained to me what he was doing, and I was thrilled. I loved hanging out with him, listening to talk radio and asking him random questions about life, and it's the reason I have so many of the practical skills that I have today and can do a lot of my own repairs. He also would help me with my art projects and my hair, so this video really brought me back, I'm gonna squeeze him extra hard when I see him next week. From a daughter of a similarly impatient father, you're killing it, thank you for your videos ❤

It really does give me pause watching you interact with your daughter in the positive, healthy way you do. It's makes me emotional. I find it makes me optimistic, rather than pessimistic. It gives me hope that an actual little Black girl is having a positive experience with her father, and not one filled with pain, abuse or abandonment. Not saying all little Black girls go through this, but some do. I did.

I love this dad because he's so honest about himself. I always sense that though his love for her is never in question, he's just not as bonded to her as he is with the boys But his pursuit of that bond just melts my heart as someone who has been assigned to love/ advocate for children. He should teach a series of classes and tge first should to teach transparency and why it's crucial. This family is exactly who we are as a culture, not screaming in the streets, abandoning our kids or in the club ect..Just want to send every ignorant, stereotypical comment to this channel❤

So spot on. Especially being that my kids will be on a two week Winter Break starting tomorrow. Lord give us the measure of Your patience (that You have toward us - in good measure, pressed down, shaken together, running over *Luke 6:38) and allow us to be sensitive, mindful, and attentive to it so that we extend it BACK to the child(ren). Watching Anaya grow up and the relationship she has with her family… really inspired me when becoming a wife and mother. watching how close she and Yvette have always been made me want a daughter to she that love with. My baby is a daddy’s girl, however but I’ve been able to have special moments as we’re building our relationship. She just turned 3 and I tell her all the time I’m investing in our future together. I saw all this to say, the Henry family is an inspiration not because y’all are “influencers” but because yall are real. Thank you for sharing your lives with us all of these years, our community is healing with y’all. 🫶🏾🙏🏾

What a lovely episode… the one on one time with you and Anaya is so heart warming to see. The special bond you have and learning that she likes crafts and drawing. She is growing into a beautiful young lady and is so looking like Yvette. Theo teaching Uzi is precious, and seeing how committed Theo is to it, as he throws his head back and then continues to teach. I say it all the time, you are the most beautiful, loving and true family I have seen on Social Media and yours and Yvette’s amazing parenting has made these lovely kiddos what they are today. Thank you for sharing your journey with us 🫶🏼

My Dad used to do my hair. Only when he had to. But he could part, and put our hair in ponytails with barrettes on the end. It always made me laugh because it was rare when he did it. It felt out of place. But we always looked good when he was done. He died when I was 11. I miss him!!!💕💕💕💕💕

Wow what a gorgeous child Anaya is ❤ All the kids are just beautiful, they each have their own look and still look just like mom and dad 😊 I’m happy to hear you’re learning your daughter’s invitation(s). My dad didn’t do this, yet I spent so much time with him going to the hardware store, listening to his conversations about fixing things, running errands like the junk yard, filling up the propane tanks, etc. And I became one shonuff handy sister. I can build pretty much anything I want. I can think critically about tasks. And that has served me immensely in life…even though it wasn’t my actual invitation to him. Keep on parenting, keep on dad-ing 🙏🏾❤️👍🏾
