Hello everyone👋. A hand full of you let me know that comments on recent videos have been getting unjustly censored by the KZbin algorithm. I am so sorry about this! That is so lame! I turned off the comment moderation on this, my most recent video, so hopefully that helps🙏! But that's not all... I also started a Discord server! Thank you @Medavelvan for your great idea! Feel free to join my channel's server using this link: discord.gg/bDBkUupa (you can also find it on my channel's description). Hopefully this gives us a way to interact more than we can here on KZbin. I'd love to get to know my most invested viewers. Thank you all for watching the video and commenting!

EnGage, Your channel and this video have been a source of wonderful topics and great subjects for discussions- but the Comments section is pretty limited- might I suggest creating a Discord for extended responses? And for a repository for more organized, longer-form, ongoing discussion categories for reference and thoughtful *respectful and yet honest* debates without random KZbin censoring.

100% agree, keep doing what you can through God to make disciples of al nations, we don't need these broken pastors or churches to make a difference on this Earth, only God can change us. So be it.

But, we do need the body of Christ to operate correctly for POWER. That power is accomplished by 1 Corinthians 14:26-33, amongst others. Read verse 26. Try to operate church this way.

I had a few thoughts I wanted to share on this, and some advice I was given on this subject in the past. Firstly, I agree with the sentiment that the modern church is weak and depraved. I regularly see the behavior of Megachurch Christians be surrounded by sin and depravity. Or, I hear lots of messages from what I like to refer to as 🌟Pastors🌟because they have a very soft, unbiblical message that just warms hearts and gets people in the door. Adding to this, many churches nowadays are very soft with their theology, either drawing no hard lines or simply failing to have any real doctrine upon which they teach. Without strong doctrine (regardless of theological standpoint), a church is bound to fail, because they simply will not be able to answer any of the most important, foundational questions that a pursuant Christian would ask. That being said, I do not think this is a valid reason not to pursue going to a church. Many of your arguments were based on your experience and your purposes and your wants for going to church. I have no problem with expressing why you feel the way you feel, but there are a few problems with this mindset. In response, I share some advice that was given to me when deciding on a church, because I am just as guilty of the 'but I want this and me, me, me' with my faith. Firstly, pursue good doctrine. Find what you see to be biblically accurate and what will help you to chase passions. Second, stop trying to see what you want in your faith, and see what God wants for you. He may be calling you away from a specific church, but he is not calling you away from every church. - “And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.” Hebrews 10:24-25 God wants you at church, but He wants you at a GOOD church. Figure out what makes a church a good church (Ephesians and Corinthians have lots of information on this) and go to that church. Also, just as a final thought, speaking out of love; Be weary of making such long dialogues out of your own judgement. I admire you speaking out, especially in our modern times of sensationalism. When you make a video like this, make sure you have scripture to support your ideas. Otherwise, it seems like it comes entirely from your own heart. "The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?" Jeremiah 17:9. I would recommend watching Paul Washer's Shocking Message for the Youth. It would be a great addition to this video too to include some of those concepts. Keep fighting the good fight and pursuing my friend. Best of luck and God Bless!

The Deep calls to deep! The real Living Spirit and the only true Doctrine exists in the hearts of people that pursue that Still Small Voice- not a written text or denomination- it is that Living Spirit that finds us- we don't need to go anywhere in particular. We can be like the wind and …"neither know where we come from, nor where we are going"- The text of scripture is not entirely reliable, and the doctrines are all somewhat corrupted, but we know the Spirit of the Deep when it comes. It reaches us wherever we go. The truth is written on the tablet of our hearts- and we know the Voice of the Deep when it calls.

@@MedavelvanThe Authorized King James is a text you should memorize. The correct Jesus. Romans 16:17 [17]Now I beseech you, brethren, mark them which cause divisions and offences contrary to the doctrine which ye have learned; and avoid them. The world will have its own Jesus, to deceive up to the elect.

@@OutrjsThanks for your comment! I appreciate you. However- No one should follow a text or doctrine written by men- all of them are incomplete - but each of them still holds lot of good truth that the Living God can reveal from that- but no one needs the text itself- God is not in a book- he is in you! You are his testament. the Bible itself even proclaims - and remember that we must expect to be outcast and persecuted- if we are truly following Jesus. "A prophet is not welcome in his home town" this same verse is written in both Luke and Mark. Indeed- if you follow the Spirit like John 3:8 you will live like the wind. Don't merely memorize verses, but go and do greater things than what Jesus did- as he tells us in John 14:12. Remember what Jesus said about those to whom the Word of God comes as John 10:34-

Great recommendation- yes I also very much appreciate the perspective of Paul Youngs (he calls himself Paul) My dad also raise my sister and I with that perspective in the '90s which most people in our church disapproved of- but it is something that rings true to the core. The eternal torment narrative was adopted during the inquisitions and carried on with the Printing Press- because it was an effective method of population control and mandatory tithing and indulgences that made people obey out of fear instead of love. Jesus never mentions Hell or any such torment even once, in the entirety of he New Testament- but has been contorted out of context and with bad translations to reverse-engineer a control mechanism the State and Church leaders could exploit for their own interests and congregational growth. Most of the time, leaders don't do this maliciously but its been part of tradition so long, it is assumed to be true- and the myth that written scriptures can be infallible gave them a second layer of control. Many churches have since inadvertently deified scriptures instead of the Living Spirit- which is incorrect and harmful. enGage just created a Discord if you want to join more on-going discussions you would be welcome to continue conversations here: discord.gg/bDBkUupa

I thank God that someone in the comments have brought to attention that we are commanded to meet together in Hebrews 10:24-25, but we are also commanded to partake in the Lord's supper. ‭John 6:53 ESV‬ [53] So Jesus said to them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you have no life in you. Keep your zeal but respect the authority of God's word and stir your brothers and sister up in love and good works in church.

as a christ-like person i totally agree, even jesus didnt like religion cause religion divides people and causes conflict. another thing is that in the bible, they encourage you to make your own church meaning that believers should take initiative into studying the bible, the word of god.

Congregate with others for the PEOPLE... not for the organization. Find a group that has strong, Bible-centred preaching (if nothing else), because preaching is necessarily for all of us.In other words, if there is only one true believer in the room, it is worth it to go for the ministry you offer one another... just make sure that believer is the one preaching. Lastly, i understand the discouragement, brother. I go to a larger congregation in my town and there are some days that i feel like I'm the only one there... but Christ is always there, because the word is (almost) always preached and always read in my hearing... and He's using it in me. I hope you find some group to be meeting with, in person,on the regular... No matter how imperfect, even if not for their ministry to you.Most importantly for your ministry to THEM... no matter how small, "insignificant", "unofficial", or "inneffectual" it might seem. And I will be praying for you as you go out into "the wilderness with nothing but the pack on your back and the clothes you have with you." ;)

But realize this, that in the last days difficult times will come. For men will be lovers of self, lovers of money, boastful, arrogant, revilers, disobedient to parents, ungrateful, unholy, unloving, irreconcilable, malicious gossips, without self-control, brutal, haters of good, treacherous, reckless, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, holding to a form of godliness, although they have denied its power; Avoid such men as these. For among them are those who enter into households and captivate weak women weighed down with sins, led on by various impulses, always learning and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth. Just as Jannes and Jambres opposed Moses, so these men also oppose the truth, men of depraved mind, rejected in regard to the faith. But they will not make further progress; for their folly will be obvious to all, just as Jannes’s and Jambres’s folly was also. Now you followed my teaching, conduct, purpose, faith, patience, love, perseverance, persecutions, and sufferings, such as happened to me at Antioch, at Iconium and at Lystra; what persecutions I endured, and out of them all the Lord rescued me! Indeed, all who desire to live godly in Christ Jesus will be persecuted. But evil men and impostors will proceed from bad to worse, deceiving and being deceived. You, however, continue in the things you have learned and become convinced of, knowing from whom you have learned them, and that from childhood you have known the sacred writings which are able to give you the wisdom that leads to salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus. All Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness; so that the man of God may be adequate, equipped for every good work. - 2 Timothy 3:1-17

@upstairscandy0764
@upstairscandy0764 6 ай бұрын
@@ifeoluwaadeoye6557 I don't think that needs to be the case. First of all, who are we to say that God needs to do something. There could be many unseen reasons for why God let's these things happen. One thought is it proves prophecy. For instance the Bible says that when the Lord comes it will be known to all and He will not hide in a room. The watchtower or jahova witnesses claim that Jesus came back but is hiding. This shows they are wrong. Seccontly, the Bible is really clear on the points people need to agree on. Jesus is God and He died in place of us (the way we should have) so that God's justice can be fulfilled and He can let us into heaven free from our burden of sin. The people that say the Bible is not clear have not read it. Now this dose not mean there is total clearness in all categories because people think differently. If everyone had the same thinking then everything would be seen the same. There is some confusion on passages because we all have different backgrounds and no book can escape that.

the message Jesus tells us, is "Matthew 18:20. "For where two or three are gathered together in my name, I am there among them" -- this is because the Word "is not written on tablets of stone, but on the tablet of our hearts" 2 Corinthians 3:3- the PHYSICAL book and the PHYSICAL church is not divine or infalliable- but JESUS - the LIVING WORD is- and He is in You- "it is in HIM that we live and breathe and have our being" Acts 17:8

I'm an agnostic atheist, interested in religion in general since always, been deep diving the Bible, theology and Israelite culture for the last 7 years on a daily basis. It literally became my hobby. My sister is a Christian. We weren't raised in any religion. She converted in her early 20s, because her church was actually the first family she had. I think she is genuine in her belief in God, yet, when I asked her a couple of years ago why she isn't trying to convert me, she had no answer. She even came back to me half a year later telling me, that the question was still bothering her. I said, if someone truly believes in the Bible, and has loved ones around them who don't, how is it not the most important thing for them to convert everybody around them, who doesn't accept Jesus. It just doesn't make sense to me, and it sparked quite some cognitive dissonance for her too. I respect what you did with this video, because it hits home even for me as a non-believer, because these aren't just church problems. I respect your commitment and your thoughtfulness. Thanks for the content!

It is not the burden of a Christian to convert non believers. It is the responsibility of Christians to spread God's word. You know what the Bible says. What then should your sister be doing to convert you? Should she call you every day and preach fire and brimstone? Should she annoy you to the point where you hate talking to her? Pray tell, what should she be doing? She can't convert you. Only you can convert. So what do you expect her to do? Does she love you? Does she Live Ina accordance with her own beliefs? Has her faith demonstrably improved her life? What more could you ask of her then? She's not a sorcerer. She can't make you believe something you don't believe...
@biedl86

@@kaufmanat1 It's more about her appearing indifferent rather than burdened. She never spoke about God, the Bible, or religion at all to me, and we had plenty of opportunities, for we are actually quite close. There was one Christian in my life who tried it subtly. He is the leader of a small community church, was my coworker, we had a lot of mutual respect, and we talked about the Bible frequently, but always because I had questions. What he did was he gave me a book about God from Wilhelm Busch, some mild apologetics. I knew he was worried that I'd be going to hell, although he never mentioned it explicitly. The book wasn't to educate me on the Bible, but to convert. I'd expected something like that from my sister as well. Nobody is talking about her constantly preaching to me.

there is something important that the church is still needed you cannot take apart the teachings from the church and also I think when bigger they're the easier is to find people not been active is just the way people is, also in todays world the church is death to the society as a concept, In the end I think is about doing and for me I was never the most passionate but the people draw me in and I think I just met the right people that gave their all for what they believe and I am hoping to be that one for others. Local atheist talking here, and id say i ageee with a lot of what youre saying. But the thought of a bunch of christians running around, trying to proselytize isnt very appealing. Personally, i think that Christians goung out to ask questions and test their faith through science is the path forward. I grew up in the bible belt, my entire family is incredibly republican. I was taught to simply shut up and not question what my church was teaching me. When i came out to my famiky as pansexual, saying that i like both men and women, they laughed it off and told me i wasnt. I understand at least to some degree whre you're coming from. And if your religion, your god, is objectively true, then he will be no less true if you question him. Aaron Ra is great place to start if you want unbiased data. I think you'll benefit greatly by stepping out a bit more from the christian community.

But I also ask that you remember not to just proselytize to us, that you try to understand our position and why we have taken it rather than attempt to change us. Most of us just want to live in harmony with other people, religious or not, without people telling us that there's a chance we're going to burn in eternal hellfire.
